DREAME D10 Plus Gen 2 Robot Vacuum and Mop with Self Emptying Base for 90 Days of Cleaning

this is the first robo vacuum ive ever bought, and im glad i bought this as my first one! i love that it vacuums and mops at the same time. some items like shoes and bounce balls will redirect the robot once the bumper is pushed in. what's great is that it does scan via lidar and it updates the map as things shift around the house. i noticed it updating the map as it moved around the ball in its way. works great on wood and tile, not sure about carpet floors as i dont have any. it can get over little bumps, roughly around 1/2" of an inch max. if you dont want it to vacuum a certain area, you can block it off via the app with a virtual wall or a nogo zone. you can also split the sections of the vacuuming area if you have a open floorplan and section each area off. on full strength vacuum and mop, 30ish minutes of cleaning starting at 100% battery, it only dropped 10% battery. the auto emptying function works really well, however, one of my son's fabric puzzle pieces was sucked into the vaccum and while it was self emptying, got stuck from its emptying hole. i only noticed because i was checking the mop. i think that could have been fixed if i had just cycled the auto empty function again but i just took out the stuck puzzle piece and remote control vacuumed the particles that came out with the app on my phone. once it returns back to dock, it will auto empty. its not too loud while vacuuming but the auto empty function is loud for only a few seconds. it does have a do not disturb setting that will not activate the auto empty function if vacuuming at night while everyone is asleep. overall, a great vacuum at a really great price! always check video reviews on youtube against other brands/vacuums to see what is the best one for your applications as it helped me choose this one. I’ve been using the Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 every day for about two weeks and I’m really impressed. I’ve owned Shark, Roomba, and Roborock, and this is the first one that hasn’t needed constant attention. I haven’t had to untangle the brush even once, and the self-emptying bag is still barely full. The suction is strong, and the self-emptying base actually clears the bin properly instead of leaving debris stuck inside. It maps well, avoids obstacles, and just quietly does its job. The media could not be loaded. Worth every penny!! I never thought I would actually like one of these robot vacuums but this machine is amazing. We named her Rosie after the Jetsons robot cleaner and Rosie does everything for us. The mop portion is more of a floor duster and we have tile that is textured so we have not had to use that very often, but it does function well. We have a higher nap carpet in the bedrooms and it even does a great job on those. I am actually surprised at how much time dust it picks up. You can choose from three different suction levels. The little dustbin inside is a good size compared to others I have seen but I would not be able to do more than about three rooms at a time before sending it to be emptied, just so I don't overload it. But it's so easy to send it to clean, I really don't mind that! The dust bag in the dock is a great size and I really don't have to clean it out but once a month or so. Also, maintenance cleaning on the unit is so so easy with the way the beater bar and other components come out, it only takes me about 10 minutes to clean off the hair (which it vacuums most of the hair up but some still wraps around the bar) and wipe out the dust. I love that it goes in a grid pattern and does leave lines in the carpet. Honestly, my on complaint is that it only does the perimeter of the room once, even when you set it for multiple passes. Otherwise, 100/10 get one right now!!! I will attach some photos and videos when I get the chance. Edit 4 months later: Still my favorite thing I have ever purchased! Vacuuming: works great as it should. The roller does get beat up if it's trying to pick up bigger things that would fit under it. I've gone through two rollers due to kids leaving stuff around and getting caught under it. It picks up alot of hair so be prepared to take the brush and rollers off often to clean and clear it of hairs. Mopping: it's more of wiping than mopping at this price range. The solution that you can buy extra from Dreame leaves a slippery feel like there is too much solution. The robot pretty much just wipes down the floor. Any deep stains will still exist after it's done. Application: the application is good. It's quick and easy to load and tell the robot what you need it to do. Overall: 4 out of 5 stars. If looking for a mopping vacuum, try to get one that has individual brushes for mopping. This one is better suited for just vacuuming. The vacuum does a great job cleaning the floor and detecting obstacles where they exist. Be prepared to buy extra consumables such as bags, rollers, filters and brushes if constantly using it. I bought this vacuum in August 2025, it has been working excellent. It vacuums my floors 3x a week and does a great job. Ive marked no go zones and it doesnt bother those areas. For the price, it knocks it out of the park! It goes over the floor transitions easily. It will grab your phone charger but stops cleaning until you pull it out. It feels like I have a little helper doing the cleaning for me! I've ran my normal vacuum 3 times since August and have collected minimal dirt/hair in it. I have 2 cats and a dog so plenty of hair laying around and this thing picks it up. I also have a Dyson stick vac that I'll use around corners if my dreame vac cant reach it but overall this little machine does a great job. I'm getting one for my elderly mom to help her clean too.
