The sound is poor to profoundly bad. Part of the problem is that it has a very tiny speaker, and physics is against any good sound. But something else is going on, because my favorite station's sound was so bad that it couldn't be listened to. I was able to find an acceptable station to wake up to, where the sound was just poor. Good enough. Meanwhile, it's not terribly hard to set the time and equally not hard to set the alarm. I was hoping to get a clock with two alarm settings, but the ratings for all of them are worse than this clock. Also, on the plus side, there is a button to turn off the alarm. Not all have this; amazing, huh? WHY ARE ALL THE ALARM CLOCKS MADE SO POORLY???? IF SOMEONE CAME UP WITH A WELL-MADE ALARM CLOCK WITH WELL-THOUGHT-OUT FUNCTIONS, THEY'D SELL LIKE HOT CAKES!!
