Dreamsmith King Size Mattress Topper - 3 Inch Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress Pad for Pressure Relief Bed

I have a cute metal daybed with a trundle that I purchased at a great price a couple of years ago from Wayfair. I use this in my spare bedroom as a guest room and room for grandchildren. I originally purchased the cheapest mattresses money can buy. They were 8 inch spring mattresses and they were fine for small children, but I sometimes nap in the room and it was very uncomfortable and I could feel every spring. I have a guest coming for a couple weeks and needed to spruce up at least one of these mattresses, without having to buy any new mattresses. I originally purchased a Pearlecare 3" memory foam mattress topper for $79.96. I washed the cover and put it on the mattress. I covered the mattress and topper with a thin zippered mattress protector and purchased a fairly cheap quilted mattress topper to go on top of the whole thing. It was so plush and comfy that I had to purchase new deep pocket sheets. I needed deep pocket sheets for what was once an 8 inch mattress. Can you believe it? Anyway, it was really nice so I decided to do the same thing with the trundle bed. I didn't want to spend quite so much money on it, so I purchased this 3 inch topper and did the same thing to it. The only difference I find with this one and the Pearlecare is the cover. The cover on this one does still have the straps to hold it on the mattress, and I like the position of the straps on this cover better than on the Pearlecare, but I prefer the cover to the Pearlecare better because this one has some sort of rubbery textured bottom. I assume it is to grip it into place on the mattress, but the straps work well with that and with a mattress protector, quilted cover, and fitted sheet, it isn't going anywhere. I don't like the textured bottom because I don't think it will hold up to multiple washes like the Pearlecare will; however, this price was much cheaper and I clipped the $10 coupon so I only paid about $59 for this one compared to the $79 I paid for the Pearlecare. So, with that being said, this is an excellent deal and if I had it to do over again, I would still get this one due to price. With it inside of a mattress protector, beneath a quilted cover, with a fitted sheet on it, how often am I going to need to wash it, anyway? It covered the entire bed and works very well. I didn't measure it, but it does look to be about 3 inches and it really is comfortable, especially with the quilted mattress pad on top. I bought this because I didn't want to replace what has been a very good mattress that was still to firm. There is a lot to like about this topper: - Very comfortable especially for a side and stomach sleeper - Doesn't get too hot during the summer - Cover can be removed and washed; zipper seems to be good quality There is one thing not to like: - The straps are too high in the corners to keep the topper from moving around. If they had made them lower down or made them go across instead of in the corners it would stay on. So, it's very comfortable for me but it's a pain to keep on the bed and needs to be straightened all the time. It's good enough though we got a full size for another bed. Read more

I have a connective tissue disorder, and my joints will sublux or dislocate without a SUPER soft Matress. I had been replacing my toppers every year with an Allswell topper (soft enough, and not a lot of offgassing smell to upset my MCAS). Allswell stopped making medium or soft toppers. Only harder now. I have tried HUNDREDS of toppers at this point, and began mixing them even just to be able to sleep a few hours without dislocation (I can’t afford a purple Matress, but those are the only cushions I can sit on during the day). This came yesterday, and I expected another fail. I waited a few hours and, out of curiosity, even though it says to wait 48, I tried. This is the softest most magical topper out of the hundreds I’ve tried over the last 12 months!!!! There is a slight chemical smell, so we will see, but I’m gonna fight to make it work, and may even get another to keep in case they too discontinue. A Matress is the difference between being able to walk the next day or a hip dislocation for me. This is huge!!! Read more

I have had poor success with mattress companies. My experience is what I have lain on in the store is not usually what I have received in my home. I've received all kinds of excuses. Alas, the latest mattress purchase is the same song and dance. HOWEVER, I did purchase this mattress topper and it is a great fix! I need a plush feel (what this mattress was labeled as - yeah, right) because of joint pain. This topper is excellent in accomplishing that plush, pain-relieving feel. It's winter, not summer, so I do not know how well the topper distributes heat but we will see. It is advertised as having a "cooling" factor. I purchased the 3" and at all fits well on the queen mattress. I really like the straps to keep the topper in place as well as a membrane on the bottom of the topper cover which also aids in that.
