I purchased these because I don’t care for the little paper trees that hang from the rear view mirror (tacky!) and I hoped the fragrance would last longer. We have used the teak and pine scents, and both are very nice, natural and not at all perfumey. In my small sedan, the scent has lasted well over 3 months, although of course it fades over time. In our SUV it lasted several weeks before we even thought about replacing it, there was still a pleasant lingering fragrance. We did have a slight mishap when a friend rode in our car and reached up to pull the visor down. The wooden scent block came off in her hand and she thought she had broken the car visor—for a moment she was mortified, but when we told her what it was, she said, “That’s why your car smells so nice!” I ordered several of these to give to friends for Christmas and I’m confident they won’t want to go back to the little paper trees. I am always hesitant to buy scented things online. Because ya know, there’s a risk that “coconut cabana” could end up smelling like grandmas perfume. These fresheners smell exactly as I’d hoped. The Cabana scent makes your car smell like it just got back from Hawaii. The oil is very potent, so try not to get it on your hands during installation. It’s hard to wash off. I will say, the scent is VERY strong at first. So I ended up moving it to the back of the car for the first couple days before moving it back to the visor. The scent lasts about 30-45 days. Read more

I bought the starter pack in Teak and it was REALLY strong. I liked the smell but honestly it was overpowering the first few days - literally my entire garage smelled like the scent (again nice scent but just too much). After that, it was much more tolerable but still strong so I moved it to the back seat pocket vs the driver's side visor. I really liked the smell but it definitely diminished a fair bit after the second week. It's been about 5 weeks since I bought it and you can still smell it but it's definitely a lot fainter (now I wish it was a bit stronger lol). There was a deal so I bought the 3-pack replacement in the same scent and I opened one and it was maybe half as strongly scented as the first one I bought in the starter kit. Now given how overpowering the first one was, this would seem a good thing but I'm if it's so much weaker at the start will it even smell like anything in a few weeks? So I won't know if it's a one-off or if all the replacement blocks are weaker until I open another one. They're a bit pricey but they do seem to last pretty well and I do really like the scent. It does seem cheaper to just get a starter kit or replacement blocks vs trying to buy the oil (at least from Drift anyway). I might try another brand of oil with the teak smell on one of these blocks. I'd recommend them but buying on sale might lessen the price tag sting. As some said the teak smell is a more masculine smell; I'd agree but I kind of like that vs perfume smelling air fresheners. Read more

Fam, I cannot tell you how much I love the open air scent. Its nostalgic embrace is definitely worth the price. The quality is definitely top tier, lasts over a month, that being if you use sun shades in your car. The look is discreet as it clips to your visor. The freshness is definitely worth every sniff. I decided to try these Drift wooden air freshener blocks because I liked the idea of something more natural-looking than the usual car fresheners. They definitely add a touch of style, and the scent is pleasant without being overpowering. Pros: Sleek, minimalist wood design—looks great in the car or even in small spaces at home. Light, natural fragrance that isn’t too strong or artificial. Easy to use—just place it and forget about it. Eco-friendly alternative to disposable fresheners. Cons: Scent starts strong but fades faster than I expected (a couple of weeks before becoming very subtle). Works better in smaller spaces—might not be noticeable in larger vehicles or rooms. Limited scent variety compared to traditional air fresheners. Overall, I like the aesthetic and the natural vibe these fresheners bring. If you’re looking for something subtle and classy, they’re a great option—just don’t expect a super long-lasting or very strong scent. Read more

Love this product! All the scents I’ve tried are great! Amber is my favorite. Excited to try orchard. The scent lasts multiple weeks in my car and isn’t overpowering and also doesn’t impact my allergies like other car fresheners can. 100% recommend. Read more
