We've found these glasses to be the perfect solution to our backyard and poolside needs. First, they are "plastic" so they solve the problem of having broken glass on our deck, patio, or around our pool. I put "plastic" in quotes because they look and feel like glass. Second, they are beautiful and comfortable to hold and are a perfect size to hold both wine and cocktails. We now regularly serve them to guests having drinks in our family room and living room so we don't have to worry about stemmed glasses tipping over. Everyone thinks they're glass. Finally, we've had them for several months and washed them in our dishwasher after every use, and so far the glasses have come out looking exactly as they did when we first took them out of the box. These have become our "go-to" glasses for most occasions. We don't have to worry about spillage or breakage, and they're a no-worry and beautiful alternative to our expensive Riedel glassware! Very happy with these, purchased to use outside by the pool in a condo building that doesn't allow glass glasses. They look great and fit well in your hands. Ive been putting them in the dishwasher and they still look great after about a year. Read more

As one who often gestures with his hands, and therefore has knocked over a few wine glasses, I was looking for a practical solution to the breakage and cleanup issues glass ones present. These Drinique glasses are the perfect solution. First, they are heavy duty, solid glasses, not flimsy, and really break resistant. Secondly, the plastic is a new one developed by Kodak that uses no BPA in its manufacturing process, so it is completely free of that. Third, they don’t have a stem, which is a feature that causes wines glasses to be easily knocked over. Do you need a stem? As I scientist, I argue no. The usual reason for it is to keep heat from your hand from transmitting to the wine in the glass. But who picks up the glass by the stem? Also, the heat conductivity of plastic or glass is low — these are not metal goblets. So, let’s hear it for no-stem wine glasses! Read more

Drinique is definely a quality acrylic glass and I got two sets so I consider value is an investment. The size is nice for wine on our patio during summer and I really liked the shape. We have a custom 'Sunbrella Concord' color fabric umbrella that's been a hit, so I had hoped for a more vibrant purple color to pop in our garden so removed a star. We won't put in dishwasher. Wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the money, I now have absolutely no regrets! These are easy to hold and add an elegance in the enjoyment of a glass of wine on the patio. Much sturdier than the cheaper egg shaped drinkware I accidentally bought. Read more

I have been through 2 sets of PET plastic wine glasses, all of which turned cloudy after a few months of cleaning in the dishwasher. I don’t know the difference between PET and Drinique plastic, but after two months of dishwasher cleaning, there’s no hint of cloudiness. I’ll report back if the glasses clarity change. Read more
