Not going to lie, I never thought this shape of nail clippers existed. I found this on a Buzzfeed list and I am so happy. I bought a pair for elderly family members but I have found it to be quite easier to use for myself as well. The angle of the product is perfect for comfortable grooming. The blades are sharp and cuts nails in a single snap. I like the locking mechanism. Read more
These clippers are: very reasonably priced, high quality, easy to use, work well on thick nails, have a wide opening which is nice, are very sharp and cut nails easily . They fold flat and come with a metal tin for storage along with a small nail file. Just be careful when using because of their sharpness. Read more
If I could give a product 20 out of a 10 this would be it. For 10 years I dreaded the words honey my toe nails need cut...this used to take an hour, with these clippers took less than 10. Opened extremely wide for his seriously thick nails and then cut through them like butter...Great product highly recommend Read more
Clippers that WORK! Best Ever! We have tried many - some quite expensive - but none work as well as these. We are a couple in our 80s. Clipping toenails has become difficult. These clippers are excellent! Longer handle and shape make reaching easy. They open up really wide. No effort at all to squeeze them to clip. I just ordered another pair and will be getting rid of all the others that just don't work. Read more

Although it does cut through thick curved toenails very well that a regular toenail clipper can't clip or can only barely clip, you need to really PAY ATTENTION to how & where you place the open clipper jaws on these before you start to cut & be VERY CAREFUL as you press down on the lever & make the cut. (I can see why so many reviewers mentioned that they drew blood/cut themselves, because it is easy for cutting edge to slip out of place as you are pressing down on the lever to make the cut). Also, I learned the hard way that just because it cuts through well, does not mean that you should attempt to clip the nail off right where it needs cutting (he way you would in one cut with a regular toenail clipper); it's better to make several small cuts going back further on each one. It does not make smooth or even cuts ; the edge of the toenail is left rough, so that you end up having to use a file or an emery board to smooth out the edges. (I guess THAT'S why they included that metal nail file in the package:) - not even a very good file at that). I've never ever had to use a nail file or emery board after using my regular toenail clippers which make a smooth cut, but now that my toenails are getting thicker with age, my regular toenail clippers just do not open wide enough to use for all my toenails. So, I may continue to use this one cautiously for some toenails. Or I may look into buying an electric "nail drill" that I think grinds off the toenail edges like using a file does. Although this does work to cut through thick toenails, it is a very slow task using this because of the time you need to take to do it carefully enough in slow stages, and then need to file the nails afterward.
