I'm using these (slightly modified with a 3d printed end to hold 2 opposite end bearings) to power a rail cart. I've run them hard for the past 2 months without a hiccup. I use them with their esc control kit. The torque, speed and braking are totally tweak-able. On the control kit, the ARMING BUTTON solder joints easily break. I re-soldered and reinforced with a glue gun. That's the only negative so far. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This was my very first build, so I was scared to buy these with so little feedback. I was pleasantly surprised! I've got my board up to 19MPH so far on speed 3 out of 4 on my ESC, so there's some more speed to go once I get a big more comfortable going fast. Again, I'm a noob so I can't offer a nuanced take, but if you're looking for a beginner friendly build here it is! Read more
really simple to install very user friendly. however i had an issue with the controller accurately reading the battery level from the start and after just a few short months of use, (purchased in march failed in September), one of the hub motors failed inexplicably. The whole thing is totally locked and unable to rotate without clicking. Clearly something has failed. I rode the thing with a fair amount of frequency but not so much that there would be any kind of undue stress on the motor. I only ever used it for short term trips around town, rarely exceeding 5 miles round trip. I would mostly use it for a short little ride back and forth from the grocery store which is .2 miles from home. I also feel its important to mention that the speed controller can cause the wheels to lock up if you release the throttle too quickly. I guess the spring has some amount of rebound to it and it will cause it to go from full throttle to hard brake in 0 seconds. this happened to me and i was thrown off the board, resulting in a fractured collar bone.. BE CAREFUL e=boards are not toys. I personally had a blast riding the thing for the better part of the summer, its just super disappointing that it didn't even last a full year. I made especially sure not to drive it in the rain or on wet surfaces and stayed pretty much on the road, so theres no real reason that the motor should have failed. Read more
Got here in time, installed on my teamgee h20 mini, little sable at the start because it needs tuning via ECU, but it’s very fast, got up to 26mph, forgot to tighten the truck and speed wobble got me bad, but I’m fine, very nice motor, let’s see how long it’s going to last 🤣 Btw: the teamgee had some motor problems so I decided to get this one to replace and work very good Read more
Does not go 30mph. Even with 105mm wheels. Nothing special about these. My generic set rated at “300w” was faster. With a high output 10s3p battery. I thought getting a good battery would make these hub motors better than the rest. I was wrong. I got these specifically to go 30mph as they stated. Even downhill they will not pass 30mph. With their control. And the best 36v battery fully charged. Ide say good quality wires. And motors. And the control they sell separately for somebody who wants the fancy plugs and a decent remote with battery level. Also the speed on the remote is wrong. And can’t seem to dial it in with the remote settings. When they specifically say 30mph with 105mm I spend the extra $160 on wheels that fit and $350 on a battery and now everything is great besides the slow speed. Motors could be defective as well as they heat up so hot even just going around the block with no incline. Also when I got these there was no reviews. And here I am. They work. They roll, they are clean and plug in and the censored wheels work smooth. Smooth start. Breaking is terrible compared to other generic controls. And motors. Good for reliable setup for a person that does not want to pass 25mph. But for me I was here for 30mph and I am not happy. Read more
I got everything in the box as stated, I just thought a T tool would have been thrown in. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I’ve bought from this shady company so many times and the only reason is because it’s the only product on Amazon. Every time I’ve bought them they always malfunction. Last time I bought it was 6 months ago. I only had put 600 miles on the motor hub and it snapped and I almost fell badly. Now I bought this product again and on the first test ride, I kid you not, the motor locked up and the brakes stopped working. I was 6 miles from home and I had no way to get back. It’s crazy how a company like this gets away with selling literal trash to its consumers. If I were able to give this negative stars I literally would. I recommend spending a little more money and actually going with a reputable brand. This brand f****** sucks. Read more
These motors paired with the puaida speed controller and remote made this electric skateboard build a breeze. Everything looks to be of very high quality. I was able to reach a top speed of 30 mph according to the remote. These motors have plenty speed and torque for any size rider. I would highly recommend these. Read more
