My Absolute Favorite Tape!

King Rich VIIMay 28, 2025

I purchased this for moving furniture and not just for painting. I needed something that would be easy to apply and remove, without damaging surfaces and leaving sticky residue all over the place. First Impressions - Packaging Condition: It arrived as shows and advertised in perfect ready to use condition. The color, texture and appearance was perfectly suited for my applications. - Initial Reaction: It was simple to unpack and get ready for application almost out of the box! The thickness of the tape was spot on for what I needed and anything that I could think to need. Unlike many tapes that are overly thick for your need, this one creates a perfect balance for versatile use. -How I Used It: This tape was used specifically to assist with keeping drawers closed while moving furniture. I simply place tape across all drawers and to keep them from sliding open while moving from one place to another. I used this tape across multiple types of furniture material and have even used it across fabric. What I liked the most was the fact that during removal, it left no sticky residue or marks. It comes goes on easy, and comes off just as easy! It was strong enough for the job, keeping all intended drawers closed during the move, and when I was done, removed and disposed of in seconds. This tape was also used to line up touch up paint jobs, applied to the walls, including stucko wall material, and created a simple and effective paint boundary, with zero leak through. I can honestly say, this tape would work in so many applications not limited to construction, paint, or moving, but it would also be great project tape. I will be using this for my children's school projects as well. Its safe, effective and simply not frustrating like many other tapes. You do not need scissors or a blade to cut it, it rips by hand comfortably and doesn't overly stick to your fingers, so even a small child can use it! I honestly do not think I could say anything negative about this tape, as I have used it in many ways and just had no issues what so ever. I will not only buy again, but keep this as a staple product in my house for any occasion that may arise. I great product through and through. As a person who uses many types of tapes for work, shipping and general use, I can honestly say this one is a winner and a total deal for a very reasonable price! Read more

Good Painter’s Tape

K+S in STLDecember 30, 2025

We needed some wider painters tape, and we are happy we went with Duck brand. We’ve used it for a couple of projects so far: taping off for caulking application and temporarily securing wall tiles to hold them in place while the adhesive set. This tape did a great job with both. Good adhesion, but also very easy removal without leaving residue. Easy to create a nice, straight line. Not all painters tape is created equal. This is a great deal based on the quality, quantity, and free shipping. We can confidently recommend. Read more

Worth the money! Perfect!

KeilaSeptember 8, 2025

This is the tape that I use to decorate my bottles and I wont change it! The tape quality is excellent. They are sticky, and they hold some water just in case but the durability is excellent too! I wont change it for another one cheaper because this is worth the money! Read more

Excellent tape if your surface is perfectly clean

CAKatwomanNovember 5, 2025

Works really well if your surface is perfectly clean otherwise it won't stick at all. I was re-caulking my shower and not a pro so I decided to try the tape method which did really well except on a couple of spots that didn't take to it no matter how many times I tried. I wiped everything down with 90% alcohol but I guess I didn't get everything off those areas. After all at work I realize that it looked better if I just put the caulk on with my finger! It did make very clean lines and I removed it right away when it was still wet but when I really wanted to make sure to get it in the groove and maybe have a little bit wider strip I use my finger like I said. I do think it's good that it's 2 inches because if you get messy at all I don't think a 1 inch tape would keep it from occasionally getting on your tile or wall. If I do it again I will just put tape down on the tile side because when it came to the ceiling the colors matched and it didn't matter. All in all a really good tape! Absolutely no product got underneath the edges. Read more

Excellent for "Tape/Glue Clamping" on CNC

dskJune 21, 2024

I use the tape/glue method of attaching work to the cnc. In the photo, I have a leveled spoilboard, "clamped" to the main spoilboard. You can see the duck tape. For this to work, you need painters tape that's tacky enough, without being too tacky. It has to stay put through the stress of using the cnc, then release relatively easily, not taking wood with it. You tape your table, then tape the bottom of your workpiece. You "clamp" the backs of the 2 tapes together with thin ca glue (thin superglue). So, you're only gluing the tape backs together. You take the work off of the cnc by releasing the tape from the spoilboard, then taking the tape off of the completed project. I was using 3M 233+ tape, which I had on hand to work on guitars (I'm a luthier). 233+ is expensive, plus you don't need all of the characteristics of the 233+. I've used cheap blue painters tape and sometimes it holds, sometimes not. We all expect precision work to come off of our cnc machines. But, I need ultra precise. I create one of a kind intricate inlay for guitars. I not only do I make it for my fretboards, I create it to order for other luthiers. This entails cutting out each shape, some very tiny, on the cnc out of expensive mother of pearl, soft stones, like turquoise, and out of combinations of my own making, like mop pieces in resin. The materials cannot move even 1/100 of a mm when milling. I've used duck double sided tape when using the drum sander, and it's the only tape I'll use to secure small wood blanks or resin that I need thinned. So, I decided to give their painters tape a try. It's more expensive than the average blue painters tape, but a lot cheaper than 233+ tape. It works brilliantly for this method of clamping. Read more
