Everything about the Ducky One 2 Mini RGB makes me smile. The 60% layout and slim profile are cool, but it's the ability to customize that sets it apart. Macros, LED profiles, shortcuts, and even setting the color of individual keys, you can do it all. The Cherry MX Silent Red keys are so quiet that even pesky anti-click coworkers in an open office won't be bothered, but you still get the good feels of top-shelf mechanical switches. Ergonomically-speaking I love to type on it, the feedback and touch quality of the keys is perfect. I use it professionally every day, and it's my go-to keyboard from now on. Ducky also includes a key-puller tool and several cool alternate key caps in different colors, designs, etc. HOWEVER -- I am unable to give 5 stars because of an issue when using the keyboard with a Mac. Anytime the OS looks for system updates, the keyboard "freezes" (all the LEDs turn off, except those in a single random row which stay on, and you can't type anymore). It's easily fixed by unplugging the USB-C cable and plugging back in, but depending on what you're doing, it can happen a handful of times in a day. Very minor issue, but gets old real quick. Updating the firmware to the latest Ducky offers did not correct the issue. AFAIK, this is strictly a macOS problem, Windows users should be fine. If/when the problem is corrected, I'd be happy to update my review to 5 stars. TL;DR -- tons of functionality packed in a small size, LEDs are bright and functional, Cherry MX Silent Red keys are quiet enough for grumpy neighbors but still feel amazing to type on, comes with extras. Would definitely recommend. Minor but annoying issue when using keyboard with macOS (as of Oct 2019). UPDATE (Oct '20) -- Finally found a fix for this, the official Ducky firmware still doesn't handle it afaik. To fix: 1. Press and hold Fn + Alt + P for 3 seconds, until just the number keys and A-F row are lit up 2. Enter "05AC024F" on the keyboard 3. Unplug the USB-C cable, and plug it back in. 4. Enjoy! As promised, I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars. I don't care that Ducky doesn't have a fix yet, just that there is one :) Cheers Read more

After six years (bought it in 2019 i think and still working in 2025) of nonstop use by my son — both for law school and gaming — one of the RGB lights finally gave out (losing one of its colors). Other than that, the keyboard still works perfectly. He says it was the BEST keyboard he’s ever had and will probably buy another one from the same brand. Read more

Thing is great so far. Red keys are so much better than red for FPS shooters. Smoother and quicker. When I was younger I was into the loud clicks…. The stealth on these are awesome. Read more

Good little keyboard. The layers and macros work nicely, it has sensible placement of all the functions and it's quite easy to work with as a replacement for a full size keyboard. My only real issue is that it doesn't feel as solid as I have come to expect from a mechanical board. I have a Varmilo full-size board with a heavy steel backplate inside and cherry mx silents, and it feels noticeably better to type on, and is a lot more quiet/thunky/deep sounding than the One 2. Silent reds in this thing make a "twang" or "ping" sound on every keystroke. I'm not convinced on the backplate, whether that be the backplate itself, or the connection to the chassis. Something seems not quite solid. Having said that, in this price range with this feature set, I'm pretty happy with it. Silent reds on the One 2 are still quiet, just not as quiet as they could be given the right layout. edit: after investigating a bit on the sound of the ping that the keystokes are making, it does appear to be coming from a thin backplate that is effectively resonating and not anchored to the frame. The plastic case here is not doing it any favors, but they could very easily dampen this effect by putting some soft foam padding to close the gap between the case and the baseplate. I think this is a pretty weak point in the design, and should be addressed. I'm going to open it up and fix it, because I like the board, but it's a shame that it seems to have a notable issue right out of the box that I think most people wouldn't address. A few cents worth of foam will likely make this board significantly better to type on. Read more

In 2021 I needed a new keyboard BAD. I had an oversized dirty funky one that I had been using for a couple years at that point and I was looking for a more compact option. After tons of research Ducky was the best option for me. Now as for the silence, it is still a pretty noisy keyboard unless I type super soft but I’m a gamer. I decided to change the keycaps out to give the cool colorful look that is shown in the pictures I included. It’s over a year later and it’s just now starting to get dirty (if at all) and it’s holding up well. Going to clean it up soon! Read more

I bought the Cherry MX Silent Red Switches version and I am in love with it, I have so much more room on my desk for other peripherals, the sound of the keyboard isn’t distracting and I even ditched my Logitech G915 for it. If I’m gonna recommend a 60% it’ll be this one. Read more
