As a college student this was not at all what I was looking for. It was so hard to sleep on that I am not buying a 4 inch and different brand. the size was good the smell was good. it didn't cool. All was good besides the comfort. it may be my fault for buying a 2 inch but it was just so hard to sleep on. for those who want something with less foam this is the one to get for me not so much. We purchased the 2" cover. We had an old eggshell (thin one) we used for years. This is a great purchase. I find I don't wake as often (light sleeper) and no achey shoulders or back in the morning. The price is very reasonable. This was worth replacing already. I only noticed a faint odor when opened, but I aired it for a couple days and then no scent at all.
