Now the final crunch days before Christmas, I diagnosed my entire yard’s light display failure had to be due to the master remote’s battery (even though the remote’s red light kept working). When I popped the remote that controlled it all open, I discovered the tiniest cylindrical battery I’d ever seen. I thought, no company on earth could possibly sell that size. I went onto Amazon, found the closest size (“21/23”), and ordered it with overnight shipping. A half day later, the package was on my porch. I opened the package, opened the blister pack inside, and compared it to my likely-dying battery. The new ones looked an eighth inch longer. Holding my breath, I was still able to slip in the new battery, and pressed “On.” To my delight, my entire yard display lit up like a beacon. Read more
