It is very cool and protects your helmet. The fit is perfect for even my extra large head. It is very lightweight and cool and adds to the comfort of the ride. Many times we will wet these doo rags and ride with them cooling as they dry in the wind. I love the design and it works with anything bikers wear. Suitable for riding year round. It is so much easier to get a full face helmet on when you have this on your head already. I'm sure it is machine washable but we just hand wash them and let them air dry on our head or on a hanger.
