Apparently one of the two lights I was sent has been reglued and it's face is upside down. Or the plug is on the bottom instead of the top. Either way it could be described they are indeed different, and in good light you can see the glue drip and squeezeout on the face, and should be apparent on the right hand light in my photo. That said they both work equally well and you really don't notice the glue at night when it's lit. They work well enough as nightlights and are probably best for gently lighting up dark hallways and bathrooms. They have a warm light that's not too bright but is adequate for navigation in the small hours. The photocells are sensitive enough to turn on when it is appropriately dark and turn off when daylight fulls the room. I like the swan silhouette, the warm, gentle light, and I even like that one has been swapped back-to-front, which means I have options when I plug them in. That said the fact remains that I have been sent a reglued night light and I can readily see the glue drips, and I can't bring myself to give five stars here even at this price point for that reason. This 2-pack of small, LED night lights is a good value at the current price as they work as described and are attractive as well as functional. I've bought many night lights over the last few years, and these are close to the top of my favorites list. They are lightweight, so stay securely in the outlet. They don't interfere with the use of the second outlet, and the square shape is aesthetically a nice, balanced accent to a rectangular outlet cover. The lights not only turn on at dusk and off around dawn, they automatically adjust their brightness level for the amount of light in the room. I use one in my laundry room, and when the door is open and light from the living room is detected, the night light dims or shuts off completely depending on the amount of light it senses. If I partially close the door, the light brightens to compensate for less light entering the room. The one I placed in my bedroom is plugged into an outlet close to the ceiling that I never used before. I have to climb on a stepstool to reach it, so needed one with a sensor rather than a manual switch. The swan on this light is a cute, decorative touch, and it provides a bright, steady light when I need it during the night. Though the light is bright enough to allow me to walk through the room without turning on the overhead fixture, it isn't bright enough to keep me from going to sleep. These lights could be used in any room in the house, and are so small and lightweight that they could easily be taken along when traveling to provide enough light to move around in a strange hotel room or guest room. Depending on your needs you might like or dislike this little night light. It's very compact and doesn't crowd the other socket which is a good thing. It's not very bright, it's about as bright as other nightlights "low" setting if it has a high/medium/low switch. The light sensor is near useless. You have to put a light source directly in front of it and close to it's plane to actually get it to turn off. In my brightly lit hallway it stays lit. Placing a lamp directly in front several feet away it will turn off, move it slightly off axis and it turns back on. Very very picky. If you need a couple of small night lights that don't need to be very bright and don't need to turn off during the day with a swan logo, you are in luck. These are just the thing for you. This 2 pack of swan design night lights is a decent value at $8 (price at time of review). However, the actual lights look pretty cheap in person. Both of mine have some visible imperfections along the front with noticeable gaps in the plastic. The light isn't too bright, which is fine if you need it to be darker at bedtime and just need a little bit of light. For peace of mind, I would prefer looking for a higher quality product that is UL certified. Read more

This pair of swan warm-light night lights works exactly as described. They automatically turn off during the day and turn back on when the room is dark, which is very convenient. I also like that they use LED lighting, so there is no bulb to ever replace. The plastic housing is very lightweight. While I’m not personally a big fan of the swan design and would have preferred a plain style, the lights do function well. Because they are so lightweight, they would actually be great for travel and perfect for dark hotel rooms. Another nice feature is that when plugged into the top outlet, the bottom outlet is still easy to access. The price is very reasonable for a pair of LED night lights that work reliably. Read more

I got the Swan Square with warm - yellow - light. The swans are apparently hand-painted, as the they don't look the same. Though somewhat artistic and charming, I think the lack of consistency could lead to quality-control issues. In terms of brightness, I'm glad I got the warm light as it's much brighter than I had anticipated. I think a white light would have been blinding. A brightness control would've been perfect.
