I was really worried about trying this skin tint based on how divided the reviews were. But I really wanted to check it out because I love elf products and was really interested in their Shade 3 Fair Cool formula as I have a cool, pink undertone with freckled skin. It is very close to Maybelline's Superstay Skin Tint in shade 102 Porcelain, which I also use for longer-wear days when I want a matte finish. Do note, I am NOT utilizing the elf skin tint as my main sunscreen for my face. I fear if I were to use it like that, I would end up looking pale as a ghost. While the undertone matched my pale skin perfectly, it DOES wash out warmth if you're using it by itself. But it is very, very good at making my uneven skin tone one uniform, dewy, still-skin-like and not cakey surface. A little bronzer and blush and my color comes right back. Not to mention I use elf's Halo Glow Liquid Filter in shade 0.5 underneath to add just a touch of inner warmth as well. Overall I find myself reaching for this product a LOT. If you're looking for a light, blendable skin tint that gives a very skin-like finish, I definitely recommend! Read more

YES! IT'S WORTH THE $18! I really wanted to try this because everyone was talking about it, yet I was cautious because I didn't want to pay $18 for an ELF skin tint/foundation (when they're normally under $10 & because I have not purchased many ELF products). I don't buy many drugstore complexion products but this was absolutely worth it! It gives WAY more coverage than a skin tint- it's definitely a medium coverage foundation, so if you're looking for a true skin tint with very light coverage, this won't be for you. However, if you want or don't mind more coverage, this is such a great mid-range priced product. It has a BEAUTIFUL, dewy finish and contains a 50 SPF which is very rare for a "drugstore" foundation. It has a very thin consistency and is easy to apply to the face. Also, since it gives a good bit of coverage, a little bit does go a long way. I live in a hot and humid area and its staying power was great! Also, the shade selection is rather good; I'm very light to fair and sometimes with "skin tints" and drugstore foundations in general, I can't always find a close enough shade for myself, but Shade 2/FAIR WARM worked well. I am VERY happy with this purchase and I will definitely repurchase in the future when needed (which says a lot for me because I have MANY foundations, & very few from the drugstore). I'm 100% satisfied! Read more

Coverage was way better and thicker than I expected. Unfortunately, I tried the wrong shade initially. In N4 the color was very light. I am a fairly light-skinned person, especially in the Winter months... like really pale lol. I accepted this and decided to select a color based on the images provided online. I will re-order in a different shade. Included an image of a swipe of the product on my cheek. Looking real casket ready lol I will update and or post another review once I have the opportunity to apply all over my face and let it oxidize. Excuse the skin, much-needed facial. Read more

Paying this much for an Elf product is crazy but I did it after a coworker raved about it. It's a good skin tint. Very light coverage, blends well, looks natural, gives some glow to the skin and evens things out. Remember this is a tint so do not expect much coverage. It's basically a tinted moisturizer without the moisture. It is very comfortable on the skin and I don't feel like I'm wearing makeup. I find it slightly oily but not too bad. It does not last as long as other drugstore skin tints I've tried so I will likely not repurchase. I do think the price for a drugstore product is insane. It's almost as expensive as a lot of non-drugstore foundations at this point. I can purchase several other skin tints from other drugstore brands that work better or as well and cost at least $5 less than this one. What happened to Elf being about affordable products? UPDATE WITH PIC: After wearing this everyday for a week, I'm updating my review and adding a pic. I work in a hot Bakeshop for 10hrs at a time with safety glasses on the whole time and this stuff stays on my skin SO nicely! With good skin prep, It just melts into the skin and adds a beautiful glow that looks so natural. The shade I got is too light for me. I have to add a few drops of a darker tint I have, or I use Versed glow drops and it darkens it up nicely. This doesn't enhance any of my fine lines or end up all cakey n patchy by the end of my shift. Instead, it looks just as good as when I first did my makeup that day. It's a great formula with a beautiful glow that lasts all day! Such a great skin tint! ELF did great with this formula. Its thin and sheer and blends out so beautifully. It stays all day, doesnt settle into fine lines. Powder sits over it nicely and other products under it are so nice. Its everything you want in a skin tint and has SPF!! Thank you ELF. I have fair/light skin with neutral undertones and a bit of redness in some areas. I'm also 47 n have mature skin. I wear the shade 1 Fair Neutral. Its light,I could probably even go up 1 shade but it works. I usually mix a bit of glow drops in with it to give it a bit of a sheer glow n darken it up a bit. Esp with some bronzer n powder n blush it looks really good. Love love love it!!! Read more

I love this skin tint. I'm not a full coverage type of girl when it comes to foundation. It gives you a little bit of coverage that makes my skin look so nice and gives you the protection from the sun. It is perfect for going to the pool, beach or maybe being out at amusement parks in the sun. I break out on my face using sunscreen so this makes it so much better to use. Read more
