I absolutely love this lip exfoliator! I've tried a few different lip scrubs in the past however this one from e.l.f. in Brown Sugar is by far my favorite. The texture is just right: not too rough but definitely exfoliating enough to remove dry, flaky skin. It glides on like a balm and the brown sugar crystals gently scrub without being harsh. What really sets it apart is how moisturizing it is. Thanks to the jojoba oil and other nourishing ingredients, my lips feel incredibly soft and hydrated after each use and there is no need to immediately follow with a balm. The subtle brown sugar scent is sweet and comforting without being overpowering. I also love that it's vegan and cruelty-free which gets huge bonus points for that. The Pros: I love Elf products and appreciate the quality and reliability for super reasonable prices. This lip scrub is very moisturizing and (at least the brown sugar flavor I bought) is sweet when you rub your lips together. It definitely helps slough off some of the flaky dry skin on your lips and leaves them feeling smooth and moisturized. The Cons: I am still searching for the perfect lip scrub for me. This is close but I wish the consistency was quite so smooth if that makes sense? It doesn't work to remove some of the more stubborn dry skin that my lips develop during the winter as it is very emollient and the sugar melts into the base quite rapidly. You also can't really apply pressure while “scrubbing” because of how soft the base is. On the other hand I have found the base of some other scrubs (Sephora brand for example) to be too dry/waxy. While I’m still searching for the Goldilocks of lip scrubs I will keep and use this. At least with Elf products you aren’t out much money. I think there are other users who will love this, and don’t get me wrong I don’t hate it at all, it just isn’t “the one” for me. Read more

I used to love this stuff when it was in bullet lipstick form. It worked amazingly well, kept its shape and exfoliated like a dream. For some reason, this version is so much softer and falls apart as you use it, which makes a big mess. I found more success using my finger, which defeats the purpose of it being in a stick, but even then it didn't exfoliate well and I resorted to wiping it off and using friction instead. They should definitely go back to the older formula. I think I'll go back to the old school method of lip balm and sugar for now. Read more

Love this lip exfoliator ! It is a great size and good amount of product. I have very dry chapped lips. You put it on in small circular motions, doesn't take a lot. Then I use my finger to exfoliate more. I wipe clean with a tissue. It does great getting rid of dead skin and making my lips feel smooth and soft. 1st picture is before and my lips are shriveled and chapped. 2nd picture is after I did the exfoliator for a few seconds. My lips are soft and already look better in color and plumper. My lips are very smooth. 3rd picture is after I put on my Tatcha lip mask. I do this at night and lips feel great in the morning. After I do this my lips get fuller and look plumper and feel great! Highly recommend. Read more
