This is my first of this kind of elf lipsticks and I’m very impressed with them. I got two shades, this one being the darker fall color for a little more drama - or subtle days. It feels so smooth, it stays on well and isn’t drying. I love the tube it’s in. It’s a square, has a magnetic top that tells you it’s properly closed when you hear the ‘click.’ This color, ‘No Regrets’ will be a staple for me. The other color I got is a shade that’s a spot on dupe for the Il Makiage color I got and love as a regular go-to, I think it’s something like ‘Baby Doll’ but I’m not sure. The elf dupe is ‘Effortless.’ I feel great getting that same color and it feels and looks like my regular lipstick. The elf price is nice, about three times less or more. Never could get it again as it was always unavailable after that first tube, something common in that line I learned. But the elf is almost exactly that color. I put them on side by side and can’t tell the difference in the colot, moisture content, staying power, everything. It’s all there and then some. This is my new lip line, I’ve loved everything from elf. I’m almost seventy and I feel years younger in their products. There’s a soft, very faint nice smell at first, barely detectable, but that dissipates when it’s applied. The color is matte but has a soft moist look and certainly a naturally moist feel, really nice. I’m very impressed, and very happy to get the color I fell in love with, plus the feel. I ordered No Regrets, but I do regret it. I guess this colour was pretty much as it looked. It intrigued me, as it seems to combine warm and cool. I have pale olive skin, so neutral/mixed shades on the warm/cool scale are often good for me. This was way too bright, though. I think you would have to have either a deeper complexion or perfectly white skin to pull this one off. Or else a lot of red in your skin. Contrary to the impression in this picture, I do have some colour to my skin. But this lipstick completely overpowers me. I had actually already blotted it twice here. I will not expose the world to the full strength look on me! It is also, hard, dry and drying. The tip is pointy and it is great for drawing precise lines. After I took the picture, I blotted it way down and it was still giving fire engine on me, so I just wiped it off. It came off fairly easily and left a slight stain, which is pretty but still feels bright. This interface is prompting me to write about stickiness. It was not sticky in any way, shape or form. Much too dry for that. Doesn't feel thick on the lips, either, but man it packs a punch! I'm an older lady (as you can clearly see), and I was looking for a moisturizing lipstick in a new colour to pick me up. This was not it, but it could work for someone who likes a dry, matte finish and a really strong colour! Also, I must admit it made my teeth look blindingly white. I had never tried e.l.f. lipstick before, but I was searching for a cool toned red lipstick and happened upon this one. It is highly pigmented, and it feels nice on my lips. It's not sticky, so my hair doesn't get stuck in it, and it stays on for a long time. It doesn't need much of a touch up unless you eat something really greasy. The color I got (Own It) is beautiful, and has a nice satin finish, and it's a lovely cool toned (blue based) red. It's not greasy, but it's not dry and chalky either. I will be buying more of these.
