I live in a house that is over 100 years old~ that being said, the walls I have to work with for my closet area are solid brick. I was looking for a free standing rack as an alternative to racks that you bolt into the walls. I most certainly made the right choice in ordering this unit!!! It is spectacular. The package came wonderfully packed and organized. The assembly of the unit was a breeze once I read through the directions. It comes with extra pieces as well. It is sturdy and well made. This is an awesome little closet! My son had one of those plastic covered ones from Walmart that took up alot of space and was always falling apart. I found this gem and was able to put it together within an hour, and added some floor space to my sons room. I was replacing the old wire shelving in a small walk-in closet and wanted something that could be customizable in an l-shape design and this particular set worked out perfectly for my needs allowing me to add hanging and some shelf space and into the right in additional space for about 24 inches I put in heavy duty closet made shelves. Easy to put together. It was hard taking off the tie wraps, they were thick. But the installation was easy. Put at least one base shelve on the bottom for stability. you can modify the other shelves to stack more clothes, bags and you can modify the height of the lower clothes bar if you have longer pants/skirts. Came with some extra parts in case you break the brackets. I am pleased with it for the price. I used it in my walk in closet which had no clothes rods and I didn't want to install anything immediately until i knew how to use the space and which clothes ii want to keep out every season. Overall, this is a pretty good clothes rack and I’m happy with it, but I was expecting it to feel bigger. Once it was assembled, it came across a bit small for the price, especially because I bought a different rack around the same cost that ended up being about 30% larger. That said, the flexibility is the standout feature here. I really like that you can configure it as an L-shape for a corner or set it up straight depending on your room layout. The expandable hanger rod is also a nice touch, and it might be where some of the “hidden size” comes from because you can stretch it when you need more hanging space and keep it compact when you don’t. It feels fairly sturdy and it was decently easy to put together. In the end, it works well for our space and what we need, and I do like it, I just wish the overall footprint felt a little more substantial for the money. Read more
This was a much needed purchase for my home, our basement has a huge unused room, so since we have no closet space I bought one of these to free up our closets. This thing has been a tremendous help, I could have put it together myself but my husband insisted on helping me. We got it together in about 15 minutes. It hold so much clothes, I was honestly shocked at how big the rack is and the side shelf is nice too. I would hightly recoomend this if you're looking for somehting that will last. Read more
