Especially as I've gotten older, I've discovered that more light in more places makes life easier and just allows you to see way better and not miss things. I put 3 of these 600 lumen 6000k bulbs in a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator and you can definitely see that the bottom of the freezer compartment and bottom of the refrigerator compartment are significantly brighter and whiter than with the previous bulbs which were 400 to 500 lumens and 5000k. These are also very compact bulbs and will easily fit most spaces. I didn't replace the top of the freezer compartment because of glare issues and the bulb that glares the least is the OEM Whirlpool bulb. If you are looking for a very bright 6000k bulb, these are excellent. Can't evaluate longevity or energy efficiency. Read more
