Background: Bought these for someone who was having sleep disturbance in the hospital and therapy due to monitor noise and room mates with loud televisions. He had tried otc ear plugs which only helped a little. These ear plugs: 1. They have different size tips so you can adjust them for proper fit in your ear. 2. Ouch! These hurt if you are trying to sleep in them because they are hard plastic. These do not block out much noise. My foam earplugs (rated 25dB) do a better job at blocking noise than these. Read more

These were the most uncomfortable noise canceling devices I’ve ever worn, they irritated my ears and caused intense discomfort. I could still hear everything they canceled out LESS noise than my silicone putty 25dcb earplugs. When placed correctly into the ear they are flat, don’t protrude, and don’t put any pressure on your ear. They come with two shapes of silicone (one more round, and one more tapered) in multiple sizes. Once you find your size they are effective at blocking out noise.
