Holy beautiful bat! We purchased the -8 31” for our just about 11 yr old who stands 5’1” and weighs 101lbs. He really wanted the 2025 hypefire last season, but with the 16 players on his team last season, 9 owned the hype fire and the remaining owned either the pencil or the Marucci CatX2, and imho, considering they all willingly shared, it wasn’t worth buying it at the time. We decided to get him the 2026 for Christmas this year and Wow! The colors of 2026 are just gorgeous! I prefer the green to the orange of 2025, and my son was completely in love with it immediately upon opening it. It arrived safely and securely packaged and in just 2 days. As others have stated, it’s sweet spot is an absolute and my son was hitting dingers at the field with my husband and younger son within hours of opening it up Christmas morning. The -8 drop is perfect for his size and stature and he says that it’s lightweight and powerful and he is pumped for Winter warmups to begin next week. This bat seems to be made really well and I’m confident it will hold up for the entirety of both the regular season and the All Stars season.
