My nephews loved this. They are 15 year olds Read more
I saw this clock and thought it'd be nice as a bedside clock for me, given that it's display can be dimmed. In that regard, this clock does that well. There are three levels of brightness, and fully dimmed this clock is very legible at night without searing your eyes. The LED light obviously doesn't blast a room with color as advertised, but as someone who tinkers with LEDs and figured out before I ever even got this clock that it's power source wouldn't be able to run high powered LEDs, I didn't expect it to. Having said that, this clock's LED system is still rather charming and could still bring unique lighting to a bedroom, especially if the viewer has an active imagination. Moving on to the Bluetooth... This clock did something that immediately put me on alert: It asks to control your messages once you pair it. I have had various Bluetooth-capable devices, from speakers/mics to smart devices, ask for the same permission and sometimes more, and regardless if I grant or deny the permission(s), my phone will be plagued by phone calls, voicemails and messages by bots, and only until after I completely de-sync the device from my phone and delete the Bluetooth registry will the automated calls stop. These phone calls are used by some nations to ping devices in other nations for intelligence/counterintelligence. I have nothing to hide, but I object strongly to having my privacy prodded or breached for any purpose. So, when this device requested permission to my Messages, I ceased the Bluetooth sync'ing process immediately. I initially wrote this review condemning this clock for being used for shady means. I was contacted by the seller and they professionally apologized for the incident and explained to me the reasons why this clock asks for permissions to access Messages. While I found their argument a bit weak in some ways, I was impressed that they were professional, given that it was clear they were not happy with my assessment. So, I decided to try using this clock's Bluetooth function. I gratefully say that I've used it a couple of times and have not received any suspicious automated phone calls, voicemail or messages. With that in mind, I did deny this clock's request to access my Messages; I use my phone's "smart" features so infrequently I often contemplate going back to a burner phone. I digress. In closing I will say this clock's speaker is a bit finicky; It is pretty clear across all frequencies, which was a pleasant surprise for me. But, if the audio you're streaming through it peaks frequencies beyond the speaker's capacity, the speaker will let you know by harshly crackling at that frequency. What do I mean? Let's say you're streaming a hard rock song through this clock, you've got it cranked (not turned up all the way, but cranked) and a guitar solo starts. You'll hear every note clearly, along with the drums and the bass. But, if the solo hits a high note that's boosted, this speaker will harshly crackle just on that note, and any other sounds in the mix that are close to it, like high hats. Yet you're still clearly hear the other solo notes, the bass and drums. Simple fix: Just don't crank this little speaker, and know that if you play music that sharply peaks at any frequency, the speaker is going to flub at those peaks. Read more

Ordered another model from another company. Instantly sent back, this product has already blown the other out the water. Color brightness a 10, sound quality 10, ease of use 10! Definitely a great pick. Read more
We got this for my 5 yr old to help him sleep and stay in his room at night. We like that it has the micro SD card slot to load some kids songs on it without having to connect bluetooth to a phone or tablet, though it can do that too. The sound is pretty good for what it is. The colors are really bright, which could be annoying, but he likes it. My main complaint is with the volume controls. The skip buttons double as the volume buttons. A quick click will change to the next song, and holding the button for a couple seconds makes the volume go up or down. But once it starts, it goes really fast, so it's a pain to get the volume in the right spot. And sometimes I don't hold the button long enough and skip the song by accident. Also, the default volume level is way too loud and even the lowest volume can be too loud to sleep with. Luckily, it has a sleep timer, which is nice. But how hard would it have been to add 2 extra buttons for the volume? Overall I think it's a good product, but it does have some annoying things about it. Read more
