Needed a long formal black skirt so I could combine with things I already own and achieve a quite dressy outfit. I'm 5" 5", well, not quite, with more length in my torso than my legs. The petite length skirt was the perfect length. No hemming needed. Comfortable waistband. The poly satin is on the thicker side and is an attractive matte black, slightly off-black. It made a nice match-but-with-contrast with a black and leopard dressy top and velvet shawl and brooch. Wrinkles did not come out with washing and drying but a low (polyester) dry iron on the inside of the skirt did the job. I don't prefer the acute flare at the very bottom of the skirt so I rotated the skirt--I placed a side seam over one knee in the front, which put another side seam behind the other leg in back. This caused that extra side-seam flare to read like a kick pleat. More becoming if you are not super narrow. All around, I ended up looking elegant for a very reasonable price and not much time and effort! Read more

The A-line silhouette of this maxi skirt creates an elegant, flowy look, and the hidden elastic waist offers comfortable flexibility for wearing and taking off. While marketed as 'satin,' it's important to note that the material is actually a polyester/spandex blend. This fabric choice likely made the skirt more affordable and adds stretch for comfort, but potential buyers should know it's not real silk. The main drawback I've noticed is that the fabric tends to wrinkle a bit after washing. You'll likely need to iron or steam it to maintain its dressy appearance. On the positive side, the spandex blend helps the skirt maintain its shape and provides ease of movement. Worth considering if you're looking for an affordable dressy maxi skirt, needing just basic maintenance to make you look chic and trendy. I bought the size L, which a size above what I usually wear but I like slightly roomier skirt as a pear shaped woman. I would recommend it. Read more

I was specifically looking for something thin and slippery to wear under another item that goes to the floor with a long slit. The satin skirt allows the outer layer to drape nicely and so it doesn't cling to or accentuate my butt, and it doesn't add any bulk. The color was as shown, and it's perfect. I would never wear it without something over it because it is very thin and shows every flaw, seam, bump, etc. If you are looking for a more substantial garment, you should expect to pay more. This skirt has a nice zipper set in the seam and 1-1/2" set-in waistband. I'm 5-3 and he length was ankle-length. I was glad I didn't have to hem it. I felt the quality and the price was reasonable. Very expensive looking, affordable and elegant. High waisted and fits snug without puckering or gathering. Zipper works really well. Does not feel cheap. Read more
