I am 5'3 and at my natural waist this hits right at my ankle. I was hoping it would just touch the floor; however, it was an awkward length on me. The waistband is more snug but not tight and true to size. If you are concerned with it being unflattering due to the band, I would size up and the band would not create any "muffin top". With that said, the skirt is a quality material and has enough weight to it to look more expensive without being excessively heavy. The color is a rich color and the skirt could easily be dressed up or down depending on the shirt and shoes paired with it. I gave it 5 stars even though I won't be keeping it because of the length. Very nice. If you are under a 36in waist then the one size will fit you great. If you’re over that then I would go with the xl or larger. For both The fabric has a nice sheen, not heavy at all and flows nicely. It does feel a little rough on the outside but not uncomfortably so. The inside feels nice. Overall it’s a nice looking skirt. I’ll start with the negative. It smells. It came out of the package and I had to hold my breath. I can’t even describe it. It’s like weird cooking herbs and perfume. Someone definitely wore this to an event and sent it back. As far as fit goes, I am 28 inches at my natural waist and 5’4”. The length is perfect but if my waist were any bigger it would be uncomfortable for me. I’m really picky about tight things around my waist so it might not be so bad for some people. All that being said, it’s soft and gorgeous and I’m looking forward to wearing it. It has a nice weight to and moves beautifully. Material quality is fantastic, so soft, and lays so nicely even with the pleats. The waistband is on the thicker side so if you're planning to tuck in a sweater/shirt it would need to be on the thinner side. I'm 5'10' and 150 lbs and the M sits perfectly at my natural waist or can be pulled up a bit to be a more high-waisted fit.
