I was pleasantly surprised just how good the quality is of this lunch tote when it was delivered. The handles (a navy-like dark blue) are thick, attached securely and are well-constructed. The lunch tote has just a little weight to it, which is nice. It's also pretty big-I can fit two medium-sized Tupperware, a water bottle and a few other things like an apple, etc. The teal color I chose pops but isn't obnoxiously bright, either. The inside of the lunch tote is a dark blue/black-a material that will easily wipe or wash clean with a dish towel. I also love the small, mesh side pocket on the inside of one of the walls of the tote-great for utensils, a teeny container of salad dressing, etc. The lunch tote opens from a dark-colored zipper that runs along the top, but doesn't extend all the way down the sides of the tote. My only gripe is the fairly large 'EcoRight' logo. It's only printed on one side of the lunch tote, but meh-could do without it. Overall it's my favorite lunch bag I've had over the years, especially for the price. Minimalist and well-made! Read more

This bag is great for adults and kids. I got 2 for my kids and it's nicer than any other lunch bag/box we've tried - sturdy cotton canvas, sturdy smooth lining, insulated but not stiff, so once empty it can be crushed/stuffed into a backpack. I like the vertical design since my kids often take a mix of cold food and their thermos - so I put an ice pack at the very bottom, then the cold food right on top, then a thin towel which doubles as napkin, and then their thermos with warm food and anything that doesn't need to be cold at the very top of the bag. The kids report all foods were at the appropriate temperature at lunchtime. I will note that the bag feels like it's better insulated at the bottom half (below the zipper) which works for us based on how I pack it. The kids love the mesh pocket for a water bottle inside and it's a nice (though unnecessary) touch. Things I wish the bag had: I wish there were fabric tabs at both ends of the base of the zipper - something to grab onto while zipping and unzipping - otherwise you are awkwardly pinching various parts of the bag to keep it still in order to open and close the zipper. Alternatively, these would be a great place to put metal D-loops which would serve both purposes - a place to grab while zipping/unzipping and a place to attach a shoulder strap if you want. We never use shoulder straps for kids lunches but sometimes the kids like to attach their lunch bags to a strap on the outside of their backpack so something I would love to see is a single wide strap that attaches at the sides of the bag (below where the zipper ends) that buckles at the top (but place the buckle off to the side and not in the center, that way the strap is still comfortable for hand-carrying). Because of the longer zipper path, a strap like this would be long enough to shove aside to unzip the bag, and hey! A strap like this would also be an easy place to grab onto for zipping/unzipping! The bag washes well but since it's thick cotton canvas, it is heavy and takes a while to hang dry so plan accordingly and do your washes over weekends! I love cotton but I would also love to see a synthetic version of this bag too, in a smooth nylon fabric, as it would be lighter. Overall we're really happy with the bags...just had to provide some ideas for future iterations as a mom who has gone through MANY types of lunch bags including PlanetBox, the traditional Pottery Barn lunch boxes and Lands End lunch boxes and the High Sierra ones...and I do like these the best so far. Oh! And the pocket in front makes it possible to iron on patches to customize - just slip a small heat-resistant trivet into the pocket, stuff the rest of the bag with something flat like books, and iron away! My kids were super happy with their patches...and yes, they did cover up the large EcoRight logo with a patch. Thank you , thank you for not putting velcro anywhere on this bag. I hate velcro. I love zippers, snaps, and magnetic closures. OK, I'm done! Read more

Bought this as a gift for my husband after his old lunchbag broke, and I was looking for a good quality eco-friendly product! I am very impressed with this bag and he absolutely loves it! This bag is extremely sturdy, stitching is strong, and the zipper is great quality. It is also even bigger than I was expecting, which was definitely not a bad thing! Even though the inner compartment is just one single space with no dividers or pouches, it fits A LOT of food in there, and there is a pouch on the front of the bag as well. He has been able to fit several large plastic rubbermaid containers, silverware and a piece of fruit inside the main compartment with room to spare! Amazing quality, and love the fact that you can just throw it in the washing machine to clean it as well. Highly recommended! Read more

Canvas bag. Seems well made and stitching is secure. Nice outside pocket and mesh bottle holder inside which is great to keep your beverage cold. Wish it was a bit more insulated but it’s big enough to hold a few ice packs so not a big deal. Would recommend Read more

I just love this bag! I order it for my four year old, but ended up using it myself. It is very roomy, but on a narrow side and it fits easily in my bag. The exterior is all cotton and is pleasant to a touch. I have not seen any stains or dirt on it. It stands on its own on a table. The interior is easy to clean. I love the look of it as well ( I got the green one with "You are what you eat" sign. Read more

The bag is ideal for carrying lunches I am able to pack multiple items inside. It seems sturdy like it will last for a long time. My complaint is that the canvas material holds lint and constantly gets dirty...(i have a black bag) I don't know if the other colors will display the same characteristic or not. From my personal experience with this bag, I would prefer the bag material to be different. I would give a much higher rating had it not been for this. Read more

Pretty perfect in terms of roominess. I have several lunch bags but this seems to fit most of my check boxes. Only thing i wish it did gave is a shoulder strap. It's very sturdy with strong thick canvas material but not rough to the touch. The handles are good size to fit on the wrist. Strong construction. Lots of room inside. I use a cool pack to keep my food cold on long drives. It has 1 small pocket inside for utensils or a small cold pack. There's a large pocket outside also for napkins. Its pretty in a rugged way. I m pretty happy with it. Read more
