My daughter wanted warmer sheets because I tend to prefer cool sheets to sleep. We always buy pottery barn 100% cotton percale or sateen or a high thread count. Well we live in Pennsylvania and it’s freezing but we dislike electric heat on in each bedroom during winter because A: it gets so hot inside a bedroom with doors closed and B: it’s dry even with humidifier on. So she said let’s try flannel sheets! We chose the EB brand because it’s self explanatory that they have always had quality clothing for winter so why not try 100% cotton flannel sheets! She washed them once a week and puts right back on. I need to grab her a second set and then we will be getting the percale 100% cotton for spring and summer! These are so affordable for the quality set of sheets she loves them! They are soft, not hot, the design is cute for winter with bears on them! Love these so far. They did have a bit of a weird smell after opening the plastic wrap. Kind of a musty slight chemical smell? I don't think it was the plastic wrap because the smell was all the way through even on the inner fabric folded into the center. I think it may be why ever was used to print the design. I washed them right away.. Washed the set by itself in cold water on delicate, dried on delicate, no fabric softener, just a detergent pods & 1/4 scoop of those scent beads.. They came out perfectly fine. Smelled great, No damage, No pilling, very soft. I'm hoping they do not pill after use. These are supposedly known for their non-pilling flannel. I was never a big flannel sheet fan. I used to find them restrictive when you moving around from side to side. After these single digit & below 0 temps this winter I wanted to try again. I would have given these 5 stars if the sheets didn't shrink so much. Difficult to get the fitted sheet on my full size mattress after one wash. After one wash I can no longer tuck in the sides of the top sheet, but I can still tuck in the bottom. Soft and comfortable, just not big enough for the bed. Update. Each time I wash and dry these sheets I am now really struggling to get the fitted sheet on the mattress. I have to tug with all my might and they barely stay put. The top sheet has shrunk about 10 inches on the sides and they can't be tucked in. Very disappointed in these sheets. Cutting corners by making sheets too small makes me want to not buy anything from this company again. Read more
