Unicorn pants! (Almost)
With upcoming travel, I was on the search for pants that 1. Would be comfortable to wear on a long flight; 2. Could be worn for multiple occasions -- hiking, ambling around town, or out for dinner/cocktails; and 3. HAVE POCKETS. GOOD pockets (WHY is it so hard to find women's pants with pockets?!). It began to seem like pants that fit all 3 criteria were "unicorns" -- impossible to find/downright non-existant. But THEN I found these! 1. Comfy? Yes! 2. Can dress them up or down? Yes! 3. Pockets? YES! POCKETS! 4 of them, all deep enough to actually hold a phone or a passport! And the front ones have zippers (I was a little unsure how I felt about that at first, but it ended up giving me a feeling of security when I needed to put a credit card or passport there for easy access). The only things that keep me from calling these pants perfect are the elastic drawstring (I could replace it, I suppose, but am lazy) and the fact that they're synthetic (I've been trying to shift my wardrobe to more natural fabrics). Those aren't deal-breakers, though, given how much I like them otherwise. Read more
