The EF EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus is an incredibly capable portable power station. With a 3072Wh capacity (expandable up to 11kWh), it easily runs large appliances like refrigerators and freezers during outages or off-grid use. The dual solar inputs are a great feature for faster charging and flexibility when using multiple panels. However, all that power comes with some trade-offs. The unit is quite heavy, making it less convenient to move around frequently. The included 400W solar panel delivers solid performance but is also large and cumbersome to handle or set up. Overall, if you’re looking for serious off-grid or backup power, this setup delivers — just be prepared for the weight. Read more

There are other EF home backup products with higher capacities, but we decided on the Delta 3 Ultra Plus for its versatility. It’s still portable for camping, outdoor events, etc, and the overall capacity is upgradable. In addition to expansion, we chose the D3UP b/c it has double the solar input (1600w, but still 60v), an Anderson Port, & Smart Output Priority versus the Delta 3 Ultra (D3U). It also has wheels a handle (like a suitcase) to aid in moving it. As far as powering devices, the D3U+ has a lot of options. DC: 3 USB C (140w x1, 45w x2), 18w USB A, 30A 378w Anderson port, 10A 126W 12v cigarette-style; AC: 120v 20A x4, 120v 30A RV x1. It also has the standard AC input and 2 XT60 solar ports, as well as an extra battery connection. I haven’t had the chance to fully test out a power outage or off the grid scenario, but I’ve used it in the garage for a few things (air circulator and vacuum) and it handled them with ease. The vacuum pulled up to 1200w (~1k watts normally) at some points and the D3UP displayed the correct correlating hours of battery time (total watt hours/1k watts an hour). The EF App and the newer generation software make controlling it all easy. Connecting to the D3U+ and getting it added to my Home group took less than a minute. This has come in handy when traveling and using our alternator charger as well as around the house when I’m checking on charging levels & status. It also has Storm Guard which helps make sure it’s fully charged when inclement weather is inbound. So far, I’m really glad we went this route. I highly recommend the D3UP to anyone looking for the latest features on a power station that can support a home (with extra batteries) or can go with you on an adventure. Read more

So far really like the unit, just need ecoflow to either release the adapter to add 2 expansion batteries, or quit the false advertising claiming it can have 2 expansion batteries connected at same time. Read more

My first Power Station was the EcoFlow River 2 Max. It’s a reliable unit I use everywhere, from camping, remote work, and even an extended hospital stay where outlets were out of reach. Then I stepped up to the Delta 3 Ultra Plus. As a renter, this is the real solution I needed for home. Unable to use a gas generator, or install something permanent, this was the perfect unit. During a series of storms that resulted in intermittent power outages over several days, this powers everything from my home office equipment, the refrigerator, and even the entertainment system. It gives instant access to power whenever we need it, runs quiet, and is very dependable. Recharges quickly as well. Read more

The way the "stand" works with the solar panels is a bit iffy and definitely makes the solar less efficient than it should be but it would work in a pinch. I tested it powering a smaller fridge and a large side by side and it handled both well. The extendable handle makes it a breeze to move around and the number of charging options is fantastic. While I could build something similar for less it wouldn't be packaged nearly as well or as convenient. Read more
