Purchase: I have 2 adult cats. Because cats like to scratch and I live in a rental property, I wanted to minimize damage. I purchased 2 of these in March 2025 but only set 1 up. My cats love it and it's still standing, although a little beat up...because of the cats, of course. I have it next to the front door to keep them from scratching the door. Today I'm setting up the 2nd one and will put it in the hallway where I've seen my cats try to scratch. Set-up: The instructions are very easy to understand and setting it up was easy. All hardware for set-up is provided including a screwdriver. Quality: This product is made of compacted sheets of cardboard. Very good quality. The thickness is about 1-1/4 in. The one I purchased stands about 2 ft. high. Its L-shape makes it very sturdy up against the wall. It can handle my cats. It has a little ball with a bell in between 2 of the 3 panels which my cats absolutely love to play with. They scratched the 1st pad enough to take that ball out to play with is around the house. The cardboard panels are held together by wood endings that I screwed together with 1" plastic screws that came with the package. My weirdo cats! Repeat Customers: I am extremely satisfied with this product and when my cats have torn these up enough I will be purchasing more. easily put together, it is the right size for our cat to stand up and stratch full length. it is thick and seems durable that should last quite awhile before being clawed up. cat seems to love it. one thing, the ball does not stay in the bottom area, kitty pulled it out right away, but that was ok, we had a larger ball that we put in for him to roll it around. I found this easy to construct, just go slow and make sure everything is properly aligned. It’s nice and solid and should last a bit. However my cat is not very interested in it, unlike other scratchers made with softer cardboard. This is only the second time a scratcher hasn’t worked out, and the other one was similarly made of very solid cardboard. Read more
