I’ve been trying to level up my sleepwear lately. After years of worn out sleep shorts and tank tops, I’ve decided that if I’m spending a third of my life asleep, I might as well spend it in comfort and style. This nightgown absolutely helps me do that. Sometimes a 95% Polyester / 5% Spandex blend is pure magic, and this is one of those times. This nightgown is SOFT — lightweight, breathable, stretchy, and cool to the touch. It feels wonderful against my skin. I’m perpetually stuck between Medium and Large, but I like my jammies on the looser side, so I sized up to a Large. Perfect choice. It has plenty of room without feeling shapeless. For reference, I’m 5’6”, 140 lbs, 38C. The bodice is elastic, roomy, and cozy without being restrictive. The ruffle shoulders and hem add sweet visual interest. I was worried the ruffles might irritate my Sensory Gremlins, but they’ve been totally fine. The length hits right at the bottom of my knees. I ordered the Purple Floral, and it’s a lovely lavender shade with tiny flowers — soft, feminine, and soothing. And yes… pockets. One of my favorite things about reading the other reviews is how all the men think this looks “grandma esque,” and all the women absolutely do not care because we love it. 🤣 Ekouaer has become a trusted pajama brand in our household, and this nightgown just confirms it again. Oh my, this is the most comfortable nightgown! It is so soft. The fabric is polyester, but it feels more like a slick brushed cotton. I was worried about the elasticized ruffles when I first took it out of the package, but there was no need for worry. There was no irritation or scratchiness from the ruffles. I’m old and I sleep really hot and this nightgown was cool and comfy all night long. And it’s long enough that your butt stays covered, lol. I waited to review this gown until after washing and drying it. I’ve had other nightgowns that looked and felt great until washing and then they pilled up and collected dog hair (yes the Pyrenees sleeps in bed with us). When I selected this nightgown, the listing was incomplete and didn't list a fiber content. The description just stated the fabric was, "Lightweight, breathable," To me, breathable is natural fibers like cotton, so I eagerly ordered this nightgown! When it came, I was disappointed. The fiber content is 95% polyester, and 5% spandex. The listing now has added more detail and lists the fiber accurately. In spite of my disappointment, I will give this nightgown a fair review based on my observations. This nightgown is very cute and soft. Buttery soft as other reviews have stated. I usually wear an XL in clothing, but prefer my nightgowns extra roomy for comfort, so I ordered the XXL instead. It fit well and is very flattering. I was surprised it wasn't looser, so I would definitely recommend ordering up a size for comfort. The elastic in the shoulder straps would be a concern for me. Right now it fits me well. I am 5' 4" tall for size reference. The elastic has a lot of stretch to it, and the polyester knit fabric has a lot of weight to it. I think the elastic will start to stretch out over time making these shoulder straps too long for comfort or decency. Now for my rant on polyester... no, I do not find it breathable. I tend to be hot when sleeping and polyester makes me feel stifled, clammy, and makes my skin crawl. I sweat like a horse when I am in polyester... not a pretty sight, and definitely uncomfortable! Besides that, synthetics like polyester are forever fabrics that will fill the landfills and never degrade just like the plastic bags people are trying to ban. This is acute nightgown. The cut is flattering and comfortable to wear, but needs to be ordered a size up. If this had truly been a breathable fabric like cotton, I would have gladly given it 5 stars, but since it is polyester and not breathable and the straps may become a problem, I am only giving it 4 stars. First off, the fabric is so incredibly soft. I would rate it a 10/10 on that alone -- that's how soft it feels. It's a good quality fabric too, not that thin kind that's cheap it's a thick soft fabric that actually has well done seams and no loose ends. The pockets -- my WHOLE hand fits in the pockets. My phone easily fits. They're REAL pockets and I can sit down without anything falling out of them because they're deep and cut right. The nightgown falls nicely over my body and in my opinion is quite flattering in a cutesy way. I definitely recommend this because soft thick fabric that breathes and is comfortable plus real pockets = perfect nightgown. Read more
