Bought this pink satin nightgown for my wife on a whim, hoping to earn some extra brownie points. Let me just say it worked. The moment she put it on, I felt like I was living in an old Hollywood movie... minus the glamorous lighting and with more laundry in the background. The gown is silky, smooth, and apparently very comfortable though I can only speak from the highly professional perspective of someone who gets to admire it from across the room (okay, sometimes closer). It fits her like a dream, and she likes that it’s breathable and lightweight. I like that she looks like she’s about to receive an Oscar for “Best Wife Ever.” Bonus: it’s machine washable, which means I didn’t screw up by buying something dry-clean only. Victory. Very comfortable and fits nicely. Update: I've had this item in a few colors for several months, and recently ordered two more. The spaghetti-strap, short nightie design is cool in the hot summer climate, and they wash up well. I throw them in the washer with other delicates; (medium temp, laundry soap & oxy booster) and the dryer. They come out wrinkle-free. None of them have snagged, nor has any stitching come undone. I read on recent reviews that the black color transferred to and ruined some purchasers sheets/bedding. I always soak new, colored items in vinegar water, then a cold wash to set the color. Though I did this, the black did leave staining on my white sheets. After several more washes, this has continued to happen with the black nightie so I'm considering only wearing it with dark sheets (which I don't have:). However, don't throw your sheets away! You can get the staining out, but it takes a little time and effort. You need a large tub or bin (I use a plastic storage box). Boil several large pots of water. Lay the stained area of bedding in the bottom of the tub. Sprinkle a good amount of OxyClean powder over the stain. Pour boiling water on it, fold in more area of bedding (and sprinkle in more OxyClean if stained) until bedding is submerged. Leave it to soak for a few, or several, hours. Transfer to the wash machine and launder as usual (I would use hot water, laundry soap, and more Oxy). You might want to do an additional rinse, as well. Unfortunately, just laundering on the hot water setting with Oxy will not get the stain out; you have to soak with boiling water for an extended period. But, it works! Also, use long-handled tongs or spoon to push bedding completely into boiling water to avoid burns, and transfer to washer with tongs or rubber gloves to avoid skin irritation from the Oxy. Read more
