I'm very particular about the housedresses I wear (how do they call this a "robe" with half sleeves??) even though I only wear them for short periods (I won't bore you with the reasons why). It checked my boxes in terms of having short sleeves at the right length, a long front zipper, good neckline, length (it ends about 2" below the bottom of my knee (I'm 5'3" or a tad under) fabric blend (or so I thought) of poly spandex, and side slit just deep-enough pockets (didn't want front pockets). I wasn't thrilled with a solid color and would prefer an animal or interesting print (not loud or old-ladyish) but since that wasn't an option in this style, I settled for neutral (slimming) black; the fit is true-to-size. The problem is the fabric (I was looking to replace a poly spandex blend house dress that had seen better days, but whose slippery fabric I loved, absolutely did not wrinkle, and was lightweight. The title of the listing is misleading; I should have paid more attention to "waffle" and "knit" and less to "lightweight"; it is NOT lightweight, and is warm and heavy for summer (I wanted it for the warmer months in the northeast U.S.; I gave it three stars, for "comfort", above, with its unwanted warmth being a comfort factor.) The poly-spandex housedress I was replacing must have had a different percentage combo of the two fabrics (?) as it wasn't a knit. As it turns out, this is heavier than I anticipated, is not wrinkle-proof (although, it doesn't wrinkle too easily) catches on my jewelry, and is a big lint attracter. I don't know if it pills; I'll probably wash it in the sink in hopes of eliminating or minimizing the potential for pilling. I didn't return it because it was slim pickings finding all of the features I wanted in a lightweight housedress, so I'm making do with it. Edit: Well, it DID pill...and even before I washed it!!!
