These worked great to trim the fingernails of my 90+ year old dad. I previously used to put this maintenance off for as long as possible. When I used regular fingernail clippers, too often I would catch some skin, as well as fingernail, which was quite painful for him. These new trimmers, which are more like grinders, are much safer and they get the job done reasonably well. Definitely not like a manicure, but it was quick and easy. So glad to have these. Didn't really do the job. I've tried 2 of these similar products, both seemed to have more positive reviews than negative reviews and I think the negative reviews win out. When you think about it all these "electric nail clippers" are really grinders. They all have similar grinding blades which not very sharp, hard to access and very small motors and batteries. Great little electric, rechargeable clipper, for nails. For children, awesome, gentle, easy to clean and put away. Great for small hands. Found it difficult with adult thick nails until I discovered that a second press of the button made the speed change. If I were a man who reads instructions, it would have been common knowledge. The charge doesn't last long enough. It took two charges just to do both hands. It is also hard to get your nail aligned right at times. That all said, my nails were nice and smooth afterwards. Read more
