We got this juicer because of the metal juicing cone. I'm going through the process and purging our kitchen of plastic items that contact food. I like the arm to press the fruit against the cone and automatically turn on the juicer. The downsides are that there is only 1 cone which is a little big for limes and the juicer doesn't alternate which direction it spins. My 20 year old cheap black and decker juicer would go both directions which I feel did a better job getting the juice out. I've manually pressed limes on the cone because the cone doesn't get the all the juice withouts pressing it with your thumbs. This juicer is easy to clean and work with, producing great results. The spout shuts completely off, eliminating the risk of spills. I had a simpler version from Hamilton Beach, but this one is a significant upgrade. I’m giving it 5 stars because it works well and is reasonably priced. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. PROS: - Quiet operation (relatively) - Powerful enough for most tasks - Doubly-jointed arm - Easy to clean - Perhaps most importantly, an unusual feature for this price range is the double-jointed arm. The lever automatically centers itself on different-sized oranges. CONS: - It’s somewhat flimsy - No adjustable pulp control. It’s equivalent to another brand’s “lots of pulp” setting. - The handle doesn’t work on larger oranges. You have to manually handle them. So, it would work just fine once you apply pressure. I don’t think any other model in this price range can handle large oranges. - Lastly, some cheaper models that don’t come with a press handle usually have variable speed, which is helpful when juicing slowly. This model, however, only has one speed. I think it’s a bit suboptimal to work without a press handle, but I don’t know why anyone would want to. Read more

Great juicer! I've had issues with arthritis with grabbing or gripping things. I've tried about ten different juicers. Manual and electric. I've settled on this one specifically because it is powerful, cleans easy. The best feature is it's built in cup that holds the fruit as you press. A lot of other juicers are just as powerful, but no built in cup. If your hands are sore, you can just lean on this with your arm. Read more
