Small but mighty

This is just what I needed!!! Juice volume extraction is awsome. I will not go back to bottled citrus juices. Small but mighty comes with 2 juicing cones, easy clean up. Read more

Easy to clean and compact

This electric citrus juicer makes fast work of juicing citrus. The fruit has to be halved to make juice quickly. Easy to clean and compact so it doesn't take up much space on my kitchen counter. Read more

Nice juicer, but did not get an additional 20% juice

Although this juicer makes the work of juicing something easier, I don't find that I get additional juice. The product claims you get 20% more, but during my testing I couldn't see that kind of difference. I did find it very easy to clean and it was certainly easier to juice my fruit. It has two seperate juicer attachments, one for smaller fruit such as lemons (not sure if you could manage a lime on it since they are so small), and then a larger one for oranges and grapefruit. I found that you do have to have the smaller one underneath the larger one in order to use the larger one. The "manual", if you could call it that, was not explicit on this fact. It does take the work out of juicing and is fairly small, so it won't take up a lot of space.. Read more

Finally replaced my manual juicer and couldn't be happier

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I wanted something to juice the oranges we grow in our yard. I've been using a manual juicer for years and I was tired of how much effort it takes, especially when I'm making juice for multiple people. Likes: * The motor is strong enough to handle the Valencia oranges from our tree, which tend to be pretty firm. It extracts a lot more juice than I was getting with my manual reamer. * The anti-drip spout works really well. You flip it down to pour and flip it up to stop the flow. No mess on the counter, which was a problem with my old juicer. * I tested this on a few different citrus fruits and the two cone sizes covered everything I tried. The small cone worked on Meyer lemons and the large cone handled both oranges and a grapefruit. * At this price point, the stainless steel construction is impressive. Its not commercial-grade heavy, but it feels sturdy enough for home use. * The pulp strainer does a good job separating seeds and larger pulp pieces. I prefer some pulp in my juice, so I just stir it back in after. No likes: * The base is lightweight plastic, so you need to hold it steady with one hand while pressing down on the fruit. A heavier base would make this easier to use. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes Final thoughts: I juiced about eight oranges in my first test run and the results were great. The juice tasted fresh and I got way more volume than I expected. For the price, this is a great option if you juice citrus regularly. Read more

I juiced 14 pounds of oranges in 1 week

The media could not be loaded. I might have gone a little overboard, as in the span of 1 week I have juiced 14 pounds of two different types of oranges. Suffice it to say, I love this little juicer machine and think it has proven itself quite durable and powerful. It's an elegant-looking thing with a smaller-than-expected footprint (it fits inside my larger kitchen drawers for storage). The square base is approximately 5" x 5", and 7.75" tall up to the little center post. With the clear cover on, the whole thing is about 9.25" tall. If you have the clear juice collecting chamber in, the spout protrudes out about 1". All parts that touch fruit come off, and I washed them all in the top rack of my dishwasher without issue. But I find that most of the time, rinsing off the parts with water is good enough, as fruit doesn't leave any oily residue. The bottom layer is the clear plastic juice collecting chamber. The spout can be closed/opened by nudging it up/down. Next up is the black filter piece that collects the pulp. Then there are 2 different size reamers. The smaller reamer needs to be installed whether you plan to use the larger reamer or not. The larger reamer installs perfectly on top of the smaller reamer. I find the reamers are the only part that don't rinse off as cleanly under plain tap water, but even then, scrubbing any fruit residue with a finger usually does the trick. Lastly, the very top layer is the clear plastic cover. I have juiced up to 6 oranges at a time without having to clean out the black filter piece in between. Granted that's really pushing it, as by that time there's so much pulp it's almost overflowing the filter piece. But being able to juice multiple oranges in a row without stopping makes this machine so much more convenient than my old little handheld juicer, where I would have to stop and remove pulp from the filter practically after every half piece of fruit. The machine is super easy to use. It has tiny little suction cups at the bottom that keep it steady and in place on the table. Plug it in, and basically just push the fruit down on the reamer (which pushes down on the center post underneath) to start it spinning. The direction of the spinning seems to change if you pause for a little bit in between your pushes downward. If you don't pause long enough or you pause for too long, it seems to keep spinning in the same direction. Alternating spinning directions does a great job of really getting at all the pulp, and thus extracting the maximum amount of juice. After you have finished juicing all your pieces of fruit, I recommend letting the juicer with collecting chamber and filter, and your glass of juice, just sit for a while. This is because more juice will continue to drip down from the filter into the collecting chamber, and eventually your glass. You could use this time to remove and wash the reamers first. Once no more juice is dripping, I would then remove and rinse off the filter piece. Then I would pick up the juicer and tip it toward the glass so every remaining bit of juice in the collecting chamber goes in the glass. If you don't do this tipping before you remove your glass, you might get an unpleasant splash of the last bit of juice on your table. And the juice is so good, you won't want to waste a drop!
