I have been using this electric shaver for a little while now and overall I am quite happy with it. The design feels comfortable in hand and it is easy to maneuver around the face and neck. It is also fairly lightweight which makes it convenient to use for a quick shave without feeling bulky. One thing I really like about this shaver is the blade feel. It is not extremely sharp, which actually makes it safer to use, especially around delicate areas like the neck. At the same time it is not too blunt either. It still does a good job cleaning up the beard and trimming evenly without pulling hair. I noticed that I can shave around my neck area without worrying about cutting or irritating the skin, which has been an issue for me with some other shavers. The motor seems strong enough for regular use and it gives a reasonably clean shave for daily grooming. It is also simple to operate and does not require a complicated setup. If I had to mention a couple of improvements, I would say that the shave is not extremely close compared to a traditional razor, so you might need a second pass in certain areas. Also, it would be nice if the battery life information or charging indicator was a little clearer. Overall this is a solid option for someone looking for a safe and easy electric shaver. UPDATE: I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars after using the shaver a bit longer. The shave is smooth and comfortable, and initially I had problems getting into the "corner" below my nose at the top of my lip - BUT, I have learned the technique better now and it does a remarkable job. And I've used a rotary shaver for years, so it's quite a change from the norm I've become accustomed to. But - all in all, it provides a very good shave. As others have indicated, moving from rotary to this foil shaver takes some getting used to, but I'll plan to keep this in my truck for en-route shaves. The dust cover is magnetic and it just takes a gentle tug to remove it. The shave-head can also be removed for easy cleaning either by blowing it out or by rinsing it under water. I haven't tried using it in the shower yet, and it's possible I'll never try that. I keep 5-head actual manual razors in the shower for that. I love the USB-C rechargeable ability. Others have complained about it getting hot while in use. I have not experienced that at all. No problem there. All-in-all, for the money it's a good deal and provides excellent shave quality and comfort. Read more
I was torn with rating this nice little shaver. For its price, it does a good job if you consider its size and it being a foil shaver. It the perfect size to tuck away in the console of your vehicle, and that will be where mine lives. The build quality is good, its solid and easy to handle the magnetic blade section is a cool feature. It holds in place well and is easy to remove after your done and its time to clean up. Its a breeze to clean, the blades are easier to blow out than a rotary. It does arrive with the travel lock on, so you'll want to hold down the button for a few seconds to disengage it. Then it works with a single tap. To be honest I thought I had a dud at first until it that little detail occurred to me. In my opinion it is not intended for daily use. Its compact, and as a result, the foil working cutting area is approx 1.5" wide. As with any foil type, it takes a more methodical approach as it does not conform to contours meaning you have more back and forth compared to a rotary type shaver. It takes a different technique and the quality of the shave comes down to effort put in. It does take more than a rotary, including time. On the upside, it is great at straight lines, perfect for touching up the side burns. I shaved a day's worth of growth with the X1 on one side of my face, and my daily use rotary with the other. The shave closeness was nearly identical. Only a very marginal difference with the full size rotary being closer. The time difference and fact that the several passes with the X1 leaving minor irritation on the neck will have me stick with rotary, but I did not expect a mini to be daily use. This is great to carry for touch-ups or backup on days I leave in a hurry forget to shave. Its easy to tuck away and works perfect in that role. It's a 4.5 star item, but not being possible, going with 4 as I think the shaving comfort could be improved a little. Read more

This is a fantastic little shaver! Perfect small size to pack along anywhere. Smooth, close shave with no nicks or cuts. Magnetic shave head makes for easy removal and cleaning. Great battery life, got through 5 shaves so far without needing to charge. Can be used in the shower, but it's not as good on wet skin. The instructions say that as well.
