This little coffee maker gets hot and it gets hot fast. Boiling hot to be exact. I can't believe how strong it is. I am so impressed. I was a little scared using it at first when it happened. I was afraid it was too strong and it would burst on me or go up in flames but it is safe to say that it has been safe to use....with caution of course. A few pointers.....don't use this straight from the maker like a coffee cup. At least I wouldn't. It's too darn hot to do so but if it suites someone that way and they are use to the scalding hotness in the mouth then have at it. For me it's far too much. I know it says anti-scald and I don't think it's false advertising as long as you are not using this immediately and straight like a cup. Again, unless you dare or are used to it. I am not. Anti-scald because the product gets hot but not that hot on the outside which is pretty amazing considering that the drink inside is boiling. I'm glad for that because if I need to grab it and move it around I am good to go and without needing a mitt. I actually really like that feature and feel confident that it's safe for that reason. I can place this on any regular counter and have no issues and won't create a burn ring. I place this on my bedside table/makeup table and it's an antique and at first I was worried but not anymore because nothing has ever happened to it. \ Inside is a bubbly boiling cup of deliciousness. I love how fast it works. I love how evenly it heats. I love how simple it is. It really is a game changer for me. Nothing like a quick cup first thing before I even get out of bed....or after grooming and hygiene I can make a cup while in bed. I am craving doing so as I speak. Easy to use because there is one button and done. That's it. Same temperature. No messing with anything. You know when it's done because you can hear it heating up and boiling like a mini kettle without the annoying whistle. Easy to clean. I wish the cord was a bit longer but it's not a big deal. Probably safer that way. It's just a preference. The cord is very thick which is good. It's insulated well. Nothing about this maker looks or acts cheap. Well worth the money. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I actually ordered this to use as a kettle to heat water for my tea. It holds about 12 oz of water, and comes to a rolling boil in just under 2 minutes. They say "A watched pot never boils", but you'd better watch this one, because it is lightening fast! The base doesn't get hot at all, and the spout gives a clean pour without drips and dribbles down the side. I gave 4 stars because the handle was very difficult for me to attach, and once its on there, I just don't really like the feel of it. It has some rough edges and just feels cheap to me. Also, the power cord is stiff and really short. But, functionally speaking, this little item really does do the job. Read more
