I ordered this Jacquard Woven Floral Pillow Cover | Square Tapestry Vintage Rose Cushion Case to recover a throw pillow in my living room. I love on home design shows where they give a room a new look with throw pillows or blankets; it’s a super fast and usually inexpensive way to freshen up a room. We have a window seat in our living room that’s piled with pillows ; I’ve been looking for a few new covers for the coming fall, and this attractive floral cover caught my eye. This pillow cover is made from a blend of 55% polyester/45% cotton. The fabric has some weight to it; the floral design and the wide border are embroidered or woven, not printed. I ordered the “multicolor blooms on beige” design; the background is a deep parchment color, and the large floral bouquet is done in shades of deep reds, tarnished golds, and pale blues. There’s a wide border in the same dark reds with a beige and gold leafy design. The front of the pillow cover is woven and embroidered; the back is a soft, almost plushy fabric in a softer shade of parchment, close to cream. There’s a good sized zipper on the back, the opening is large enough to make it easy to insert or remove a pillow. I get frustrated with too thin plastic zippers and too small openings on pillow covers; this easy to use opening is a nice bonus. The cover measures about 18” x 18”; I prefer an overstuffed look, so I filled this with a 20” x 20” throw pillow. The zipper is on the back side of the pillow cover under the wide border. I like the sturdy zipper; many throw pillow covers at the under $20 price point use super slim plastic invisible zippers that are inserted into the seam, which can make it difficult to wrestle a pillow in place. This cover has a sturdier zipper; it’s disguised with a bit of twisted notion dyed to match the back side of the cover. The zipper is inset a few inches on each side, but there’s still about 14” of opening to insert the pillow. It’s an attractive solution, and easier to use than the heavily inset skinny plastic zippers. At the current price ($16.99) I think this is a nice bargain for an attractive pillow cover. The burgundy and deep red colors are perfect for our living room, which has a lot of wine red tones. They’re also perfect for the coming fall. We have some Victorian antiques in our living room, the floral pattern works well with our decor. I think this could work with a lot of different design styles. This is really embroidered. It has an expensive, rough texture on the front and a comfortable, softer side on the back, similar to brushed suede. The colors evoke an old, vintage, or homemade vibe, reminiscent of an antique with exquisite design. The zipper is of good quality, just like the fabric and stitching. It is washable, but I won't put it in the dryer because I love it just as it is and don't want to risk damaging it. Read more

This pillow cover is a nice thick tapestry, and a great dupe for more expensive covers that I’ve purchased. I chose “multicolored flowers on black” because it reminded me of the paintings by old Dutch masters, saturated color against a dark background. The color, depth and weight of the tapestry really grounds some of the lighter pillows that I use. The back is a soft smooth almost suede-feeling fabric. My insert fit well, the fabric is sturdy and it looks beautiful. There's a soft material on the back that makes holding the pillow much more comfortable. The picture itself is stitched, not ironed on or printed. Read more

I choose this pillow cover because I found the combination of a beautiful, elegant bouquet and a massive beetle (we think it's a stag beetle) hilarious. This is a gorgeous pillow cover (Note: it is just the cover, the pillow form is not included.) and it is very well made. -It is an actual woven tapestry, not printed. -The inner seams are all serged so it should never unravel or split a seam. -Per the tag, it is a cotton/poly blend. The backing is micro fiber. It was easy to iron out the packing creases. -It's machine washable and dryable! I adjusted my pictures to be as color accurate as possible. The main colors are a buttery yellow, a mix of a bright light blue and navy, brick red, and rust. Read more

We are changing the lookout of the house to look for lived on, cottage-like. For the sitting area, i wanted it to look like ice been gathering these pillows for years. I saw this print and thought it looked like something you'd find on your (chic) grandmother's parlor. I love the vintage color choice and image. It matches the anesthetic I'm going for. CON: I wish the other side had the same print or at least a darker fabric. At least it wasn't a shiny fabric. It does feel still... like a new canvas totebag. I think once it's been laundered it'll feel more "broken in". All in all, a good buy Read more
