You use just a very small amount and it covers your whole face with a very pleasant, not strongly scented, cool, foam - this provides an extremely close, comfortable shave with no burn whatsoever. The best shave gel I have ever used. It's pricey and not always in stock but lasts a long time. I preferred the old bottle design. The dispenser on mine broke off on the new model.
