I had been eyeing the SketchSlate Studio board for a while now since I wanted to up my iPad drawing game but was always hesitant due to the high price tag and the long shipping wait times. So I decided to see if there were any good alternatives. I stumbled across this gem of a board and immediately liked the sleek design and adjustability, and the fact that it was cut out to fit the iPad Pro perfectly which were all the main selling points of the SketchSlate Studio! I was hesitant to try it at first since the product was listed as for the iPad Pro 3rd and 4th gen and I had just upgraded to a 5th gen but for the price and ease of shipping and return thanks to Amazon, I decided to go ahead and try it and I'm so glad I did! (But like... honestly what's the difference between the 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen iPad Pros design wise really...????) My iPad sits well and the charger cable slot works just fine. I like the notches for the apple pencil and I love the four adjustability options. My only complaint would be that I actually would prefer a 5th or 6th adjustability setting for when I need my iPad to lay more flat (because I draw at very weird angles sometimes) but honestly, if I get some rubber erasers it would work as a nice low wedge. If I wanted to use it as a viewing screen, it would be nice to have an option that was more straight-up (but I mean, that's not what this is made for so definitely not a big deal). Another thing to note - I like to keep my iPad in a smart folio case for extra protection but the iPad will definitely not sit flush with the smart folio still on the device and is open (like... duh dragonlily). But again. not a big deal, I just take the folio off for when I want to sketch on this for long periods of time. Overall, I'm very VERY happy with this purchase! It is super stable and makes a nice surface to draw and write on my iPad. Read more

I've tried a couple lap desks but this is hands down my favorite when I'm in my living room. I always sit cross legged and this allows me to set the tablet perfectly on one leg and the arm of my chair. It adjusts to a variety of angles, giving you the perfect angle for homework or drawing. When not it use it folds flat and fits inside my ottoman. Read more

This works perfectly for me but I cannot give it a full 5 stars. Here’s some pros and cons Pros: it’s sturdy. It’s comfortable and it fits my iPad Pro 12.9 M2 amazingly. Has grips under to prevent slide for the entire holder and has grips inside to prevent the ipad from sliding. Will also fit smaller iPads as well but really meant for the 12.9 inch. Cons: only fits the Apple charging cable not big enough for any thunderbolt 4 type C cables to connect to external monitors if you wanted to. Also won’t fit slim cases around the iPad Pro Will only fit the iPad Pro if it is naked. Overall I still can use this with my Logitech touch combo case and it kind of lifts the iPad pro off the holder so I can fit the thunderbolt 4 cable into the iPad and use an external monitor. I’m going to keep this because overall the pros I’ve listed personally outweigh the cons. Read more

This is so fabulous! I have the 13" ipad Pro and it fits perfectly..and I like that there are 2 different places to put your pencil. I love to put it flat on my legs when im scrunched up on the couch and set up on the riser when I'm at a table and its a total game changer, my neck and writ are so much happier after hours of drawing! This is heavy and substantial and an outstanding value for the money! Read more

Although I am primarily a PC user, there are certain programs on the iPad that give value to my PC use for business purposes. I have an iPad Pro and this adjustable desktop stand fits it perfect in every way. Plenty of room for my Apple Pencil 2 to either connect at the top or easily access from the holding positions on the side or even the bottom. The adjustable height allows me to customize it for whatever I'm doing. On the one hand for viewing through the use of the DuetDisplay app, it can be a 4th screen for my PC. On the other hand being able to write or draw with Notability and display on a PC screen during presentations using the Lonely Screen app, it is great. By the way, you can't do both at the same time. I would highly recommend this product as a great productivity and access tool for business purposes. Read more

I completely forgot to review this. Buy it. Do it. DO it now! I was trying to find the perfect stand to draw with my iPad, and everybody recommended some kickstarter originated fancy thing that went viral, but that thing was plastic and almost $200! THIS stand is only $50, is made of bamboo, is so sturdy and beautiful, and has been an absolute DREAM to use and draw on. I've recommended it to so many people, haha. Please, if you're seeing this, just buy it. It's so much more affordable AND better quality than anything else you'll find. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!! Read more

For me personally, this is just about perfect. What I really like about it compared to other stands is that the bottom is both flat and smooth so when resting it on your lap to draw (such as while sitting on the couch), it is a comfortable and stable. Depending on your height and comfortable eye distance, you might want to put a flat pillow underneath when resting it on your lap. While I personally don't find this heavy, it isn't exactly light, but very sturdily built. The size is perfect for me (14 1/2" x 12 3/4"), and the height and slope of the hand rest is spot on just be aware that it won't fit in an average backpack, so when transporting I use a larger-ish carry bag. As a serious tablet artist, I couldn't live without this (or something very similar) but of the other stand options, the flat bottom is what really sets it apart compared to other fold out stands.
