I passed this along to my spouse with orders to report back on its effectiveness. (If you also are female and are wondering why this product states that it's only for men, it's because there is the small risk of hypertrichosis (excessive facial and/or body hair growth) when using a high dose of Minoxidil. This is why 5% is recommended for males and 2% for females.) Spouse is in his 60s and still has a pretty darn good mess of hair, but it's thinning a bit on top. He's been using this minoxidil solution for a few weeks. I *think* I can see some baby hairs sprouting. I am watching and will report back. (He *hopes* he has some sprouting). As far as the product itself, it doesn't smell wonderful at first but neither of us expected it to, and that's not an issue. The consistency is good - it's not oily and it doesn't make hair greasy.
