I am gaga for vests. A vest can really dress up a simple outfit; a shirt & pair of pants becomes an OUTFIT when one adds a vest. I was super excited to see this product from Elleven, one of my favorite clothing brands on Amazon. What is fantastic about this item is that you get the dressiness of a blazer without the long sleeves to make you so HOT! That is definitely a bonus for me! The material is a thick, plush tweed suiting material. It has some weight & heft to it. It is not thin or cheap material. It looks very high quality, as all Elleven products that I have ordered do! The cut is feminine and tailored, giving a nice look. I paired this with a long sleeves dress blouse & a pair of dress slacks for a nice work outfit. If you are a professional woman, or is looking for a more professional look, but don’t want to spend an arm & a leg for a new wardrobe, I highly encourage you to check out the Elleven home page. They offer great styles that look very professional, but at reasonable prices. Their clothing is high quality & made of consistently good material, and the clothing consistently looks nice on me. Very nice, very professional. Fabric is a heavier weight, feels high quality. No loose threads, came with an extra button. This would be easy to dress up with some slacks or down with jeans. My only complaint is that I expected it to be a bit more feminine and fitted at the waist. Also, the pockets are sewn closed. I get that this makes for cleaner lines, but I use pockets. I will need to get a seam ripper and open them up so they are functional. I started to do that with scissors but was afraid I would damage the pocket lining. Read more

This is a nice tweed military style vest. The tweed material is much more obvious in person than on the model in the picture. For reference, I am 5'8" and a size 12/14 and this vest fit *perfectly* when buttoned, and came to my hips. The vest has a nice lining to it and even comes with an extra gold button! (That is something that is pretty rare these days) At first I thought the pockets on the front were just for decoration, but I later realized they were just sewn shut and were actually surprisingly deep pockets! For reference, the red pair of glasses in the photo fit entirely in the pocket. The pocket actually goes all the way to the bottom of the vest. Very cool! I personally had trouble trying this vest with anything in my closet, and think a long sleeve fitted white T-shirt like the model in the picture is wearing would look the best. My 8 year old son informed me that I look like I was going to be in charge of an office meeting. 😂❤️ This is a surprisingly high-quality piece of clothing. Nice heavy material. The buttons are sewn on nice (and comes with an extra). However, the buttons are a bright gold which, to me, is a little cheap in contrast to the higher quality fabric. If I had the time or skill, I’d replace the buttons with higher quality looking buttons Read more

I’m 140 and got a Medium in black. I typically wear size 8 and the Medium vent fits me well. The fabric is pretty soft and has a bit of sheen to it, but not in a tacky way. It doesn’t look cheap. I like that I can wear it pretty much any season - it will look good on top of a white sleeveless top in a summer or on top of a slim fit sweather in the winter. This vest is so nice and comfortable. It looks cute with some jeans. You can dress it up or dress it down. The material is comfortable and it does not look cheap. I was not a fan of the buttons but thats a quick fix. I did like the color of the buttons just not the design, but its all on preference. Overall the vest has a nice material and the fit is great.
