Flattering shaping and beautiful wrapping for the generously busted woman

FoodieApril 8, 2021

I have always had a hard time finding bras that fit and support well and still flatter large breasts. I have had very good experiences with Elomi bras on both fronts. I had previously purchased Elomi bras and was so amazed at how well they fit while still being pretty that I was almost afraid it was a fluke, but I decided to branch out and try a couple new styles from the same company and am so happy that this experience has been consistent with the first. I purchased Matilda because A: It is not banded - I prefer this because there is less material at the bottom of the bra to dig in and tends to have a lower center where the underwires meet providing a nice separation and more natural and flattering cleavage. B: It has a J-hook and I wanted to try this feature to see if I liked it and YES I DO in fact I LOVE IT. C: It got great reviews. Bonus for me was that I didn't think by the pictures that it would be my favorite style, but I was excited when I pulled it out of the bag and saw that even though it was unlined it didn't have any rough seams that would cause itch. These bras are frequently reviewed as being pretty and supportive for good reason and Matilda is no exception. It is a sexy unlined practically transparent style with not overdone embroidery that still provides exceptional support, lift and shape. I have to say that when I do NOT use the J-hook feature I do not feel as supported on the sides in this design. In fact, the underwire rubbed too much on the inside of my arms for my liking, but when I do use that, it provides the perfect amount of added lift, so I will never wear it without the J-hook personally. This J-hook style/design also gives just enough pressure in the center of my back that it's like a little reminder to stand up straight and relax my shoulders which improves my posture. I included pics in clothes because lets be honest -it's transparent- and I'm a modest momma, but seeing how this bra makes your girls look in clothes is just as important as how it makes you look out in my opinion ;) No torpedo boobs, uniboob, or smashed boobs here, just nicely shaped and just enough lift. Comfortable straps and a low plunging center are wonderful while still providing enough fabric coverage to enclose your breasts without causing those unpleasant and unattractive bulges from an ill fit, or overflowing demi cups which in my experience never have worked for an abundant bosom. Just be smart, measure, and keep in mind that their sizing is not US sizing so pay attention when ordering. I wear a 40K US size but had to order it in 40H for their sizing purposes and it is a PERFECT fit. Their sizing chart is very helpful for making the size exchange necessary. Elomi has won a loyal customer if they keep producing plus size bras that make every size woman feel confident and look their best beautiful. Read more

Pretty, Spportive & Well made / Women's Plus Size Matilda Underwire Plunge Bra with J-Hook

E.J.September 16, 2018

Item Reviewed: Elomi Women's Plus Size Matilda Underwire Plunge Bra with J-Hook Love, love, love this bra! My thoughts after wearing this bra for the last month... Pro’s: Supportive (I bought a 40G), fits well, has 3 hook & eye clasps in the back instead of the normal 2, wide shoulder straps that don’t dig in or slip. A “J-Hook” on the back can turn this beauty into a racer-back style (the hook securely snaps in place). High quality, designer bra. Con’s: This is standard European sizing and your best best is to go to a specialty store and find either an Elomi or Prima Donna bra (they fit similarly) to try on for sizing. If not, do your best & you may need to exchange a few times. The “J-Hook” is a bit tricky to do/undo by oneself. Note on color - Cafe Au Latte : Beige bras are usually sad & ugly, but since they’re so practical, we women keep buying them. This was the first Beige bra I’ve owned that was fairly pretty. Not sure that the photos show it, but the Beige has a bit of a pink undertone to it. Bottom line: I highly recommend this bra! I will update this review if my opinion or experience with this bra changes. Read more

Beautiful colors in a well fitting bra

unicornJuly 17, 2025

For reference my size is 32HH or 34H UK, so as anyone in these size ranges know, finding bras that fit is challenging. It's a plunge design, so if regular gores are too high and you need a short gore in a bra that doesn't cause spilling, then this is a decent option. The mesh is delicate and will rip if you aren't extra careful, but I appreciate that I can get full coverage in an unlined bra. I own Matilda in several colors, and my fingernail tore a hole in one, BUT My main reason for continuing to buy them is that the colors match clothing and having a bit showing with sleeveless tops etc isn't a problem AND I get great coverage encasing most of my breast tissue, especially at the sides. That means that the edges of the bra often extends past the edges of most summer clothing. Hope this helps fellow bra hunters out there. Read more

Beautiful bra but band size runs large

S. MillichampOctober 26, 2025

Beautiful bra, comfortable but runs large in the band. I usually wear a 40 JJ in the Charley Stretch bra and the Lucie. So I ordered a 40 JJ in this one. The band was definitely too large. I went down to a 38 JJ and the fit is fantastic. It's supportive but very pretty and kind of sexy. I feel really pretty when wearing it. Read more

Best 36K you can buy!

SophiaOctober 27, 2025

This bra is INCREDIBLE! I wear a 36K. Most bras that come in my size dig into my ribs or shoulders. Not this one. It is very comfortable and comes with a built-in racerback clip for extra support. The mesh also keeps you cool in hot weather. It can get stinky, but washing it with a laundry sanitizer takes care of that. I recommend Elomi Bras to everyone with big boobs, and this specific style is my absolute favorite! I have purchased this bra many times over the last 8 years. The quality is excellent, and they last several years of regular use, and if you have big boobs, you know that is very impressive! When I first switched to this bra, I noticed I had substantially less back pain as it gives far better support than most bras. Not to mention, it is about 30 dollars cheaper than any other 36K I can find. Do yourself a favor and get this bra! Read more

Lack of structure

D. G.May 13, 2025

This is a pretty bra but lacks structure. The underwire starts at the center of your breasts and keeps on going all the way under the armpit, at least in my size 34H. Consequently, so does the cup, meaning that a part of the breast is under the arm. Read more
