Bought this for my son as he is becoming a man and wanted a cologne. I absolutely love this and always have from my teen years. He really likes the fragrance and the lasting effect it has. This is the best in my opinion. Great for men to wear and draws the women. I have always been able to tell when someone is wearing this cologne, and I find myself drawn to it. Overrated: cheap smelling cologne

Online 1776 had an awful lot of positive remarks as a fragrance that was very classy and hard to find. Supposedly you could only find this in men's clothing stores or here online. I'm not a fragrance expert but to me this smelled like Sarsaparilla soda and some cinnamon syrup. The two notes combined it smells kind of boozy, but you can't shake that it also smells like soda. This was also really powdery and kind of woody which wasn't bad at all. There's something in the powdery note that reminds exactly of my wife's makeup compact and that was off-putting. Supposedly this is a leather fragrance, and I didn't smell any in it. Perhaps at one time 1776 was a good cologne but as-is it smells really synthetic and cheap. Read more

The fit was perfect. But the material it is made of becomes extremely hot after sitting in the sun. I got 2nd degree burn on my fingers when taking it down after it was in for 8hrs while I was at work. I live in the desert and it isn't uncommon to get 110 or hotter during the day .
