When I ordered these batteries, the supplier shown was "MLC Distribution, Inc". Now MLC is listed as one of the suppliers in the "More Buying Choices" section. This is important because the factor most likely to affect the quality of this sort of battery is the length of time since manufacturing. So my experience with MLC may not be representative of a different supplier who may or may not be selling equally fresh stock. The batteries I received indicated "377/376" as their type, and I recall seeing that in the picture at the time I placed my order. The current listing - with a different supplier and a different price - appears to have a different picture showing only the number "377" on the packaging. My comments about the product are based on my experience with the batteries I received, and may or may not be applicable to what is currently being shipped. My order was delivered promptly via US mail. The batteries I received were exactly what I expected - the right brand, the right size and type, and a match to the picture in the listing from when I ordered them. They had a date code of "JC" which is Energizer's code for October, 2010. Energizer's technical literature indicates a predicted shelf life of 7 years for their silver oxide button cells, assuming a storage temperature below 70 degrees. (Colder is better, down to well below zero degrees Fahrenheit.) This means these batteries, while not exactly factory fresh, still have plenty of shelf life remaining. I've only used one of the ten so far. I measured its no-load voltage at 1.566 volts, which is reasonable for the silver oxide chemistry. I didn't do any load testing, other than installing it in a watch and verifying that the watch seemed to run OK. Overall, the ten batteries cost me about what I would have paid for one battery at a local store. I'd say this was an excellent deal. To reduce risk if you order these, check with the currently indicated supplier to find the date code for the batteries they are currently selling. Then call Energizer Customer Service at 800-383-7323 to find out the actual date of manufacture for that code. (Why don't they just put the date on the package?) Don't order unless the batteries are fresh enough for your needs. If you are concerned about prolonging shelf life, you can store this type of battery in your refrigerator or freezer. Energizer's data indicates that this can extend shelf life to 10 years or beyond. You should allow chilled batteries to warm up to room temperature before using them. Read more

Tested these batteries before installing them in about 18 watches so far. All tested at top capacity, although no mfg. or expiration date is found on packaging. Original order for 50 batteries came at the very end of the estimated shipping date with only 10 batteries (2 five packs) in the package. It took several phone calls--one to Amazon, three to the seller and a lot of time in between to get the remaining 40 batteries sent. When I called, the seller's phone was answered only by a message machine, except when I began leaving a message, at which time the apparent principle agent, or owner, picked up the phone. The person receiving the call was apologetic about the "shortage" in shipping (the same person answered all of my calls and was not easy to understand with a foreign accent), but it took two more phone calls by me because the 40 batteries were still not received even after waiting another 12 days. Finally, after issuing an email from me to the seller through Amazon's customer service, the remaining 40 batteries were promised by the seller's email to me to be tracked down immediately or sent again if they had been lost. The batteries were then finally sent in a prompt manner, confirmed by another email from the seller to me and I received them four days afterwards. The package was sent first class from the same place the first package was sent--Brooklyn, NY to Utah. All the batteries randomly taken from the 40 other individual battery packs also tested consistently at top capacity. I believe the seller means well and these batteries are a great value, but that he might be new and inexperienced in processing, tracking, and shipping orders. Because so many reports tell of weak, outdated, and even dead batteries being received from many other Amazon battery sellers, I will probably risk ordering from this same source again.... if the company is still in business!
