Some years back I began seeing so much strife in our country I became a prepper. I sat down with my hoard of batteries and a quality tester, I was shocked to find that many batteries made in other countries had died or burst. Units made in the USA were substantially still serviceable. Rotation of product will see batteries made by the one company that produces ALL of the usual suspects. The bunny makes the batteries sold under old American brands. American quality and American families benefit. Read more

Yes lithiums are more expensive. However, no matter how careful you are about replacing dying batteries, sooner or later non-lithium AA and AAA will leak unexpectedly and ruin your remote (or whatever). Figure in the headache of not being able to work your TV, the ordering of a new remote, etc. and lithiums are worth it. Just remeber that lithiums don't have the same life curve--in other words they last a lot longer than alkalines but near the end they drop off really fast. That can fool some "life meter" firmware, but I don't care. They last longer and won't wreck my gear. BUY THESE. Read more

These have been the only disposable batteries I've purchased for more than 10 years. For remotes, they'll probably be the only batteries you'll need to install, as you'll likely replace the device before they die. These aren't eternal, of course. One device that doesn't fare so well is the display/receiver for my Acu-rite digital refrigerator/freezer thermometer. There, a pair of these has lasted as little as 6 months and as long as 10. (The variance is odd considering power usage should be constant). In contrast the AA Energizer Lithium batteries in the two sensors for the same unit are still going after more than 5.5 years. I like that these Lithium batteries will not ruin my remotes. I will not use alkaline as they all seem to fail and leak. The Lithium batteries also have power to do more with their greater capacity. I am trying rechargeable Lithium but, one already won't charge, and others seem to have problem charging. The chargeable's cost more than these Energizer Lithium batteries. These can last 10 years waiting for a remote to need batteries. This is what I am buying right now. Read more
