These are exactly what the controller was missing. The tension is comparable to the Elite 2 controller tightened. The accuracy is laughable how great it is after installing these. Makes me wonder why the original sticks are even there. I especially noticed drastic recoil control. The installation isn't hard at all. I don't know why Playstation make a controller that costs $70 with joysticks that don't last a year, but don't throw them out!!! These are easy to install, and will save your controller. It actually works better now than it did with the factory parts installed. It was easy to replace them, although you do need to know how to solder. Now, part of the reason these are so easy to replace is largely down to the controller's intrinsic modular design and repairability, but even then, I didn't expect this to be quite so easy. You take the screwdriver you got with your Pro BFG, pull out the joystick modules, take the included-with-this-kit screwdriver to remove 4-6 screws on each module (they both have slightly different designs and screw counts) and just... pull off the old stick assembly and put it on this one and reassemble. It's literally that easy. Entire process took less than 10 minutes. Calibrating the sticks is dead easy as well, and instructions on how are included. So from start to finish even a complete amateur could be done in under 20 minutes as the design is so simple. And boy is it worth it. The sticks won't "feel" any different (I think a lot of people expect them to be smoother or something, but that's not the part of the stick you replace for Hall Effect or TMR) but they will be super accurate and won't drift a bit. The fact that these high-priced pads didn't come with such sticks out of the box is very annoying, and then they started to sell them separately, and it really irritated me. So while those official modules exist now, I'm very glad I got this kit instead. Read more
