After an annoying bout of left ear canal blockage and no way to schedule a timely ear doc appointment because of, I went with this product. It arrived in 24 hours, and I put it to use the instant I got it. It was easy to figure out. I first got the peroxide and warm water mix into the bottle, put the ear probe attachment on, and then went into my bed and laid down on my right side. With my left ear up, I squeezed the eardrop solution into my ear canal and layed there for 5 minutes. I then got up and into the bathroom and placed the spray tip up and into the canal. I started squeezing the spray handle gently, to get the fluid in. Once I felt comfortable with what I was doing, I started exerting a tad more force, and it felt like some heavy duty stuff was getting dissolved, that squishy fizzy sound filling my ear was pretty gnarly. I noticed in the sink that a lot of small pieces were starting to spill out, but I kept going. I was seeing some large icky pieces of ear wax, I knew progress was being made. I stopped and gave it a rest for a few minutes. I then went to repeat with the right ear, though no problems with that one, I said, may as well get em both done. Not as much stuff came out, but still there was gunk. When I used my finger to wipe my left ear dry, some more gross stuck onto my finger. I wiped my finger clean and did it again, and even more stuff was discovered nesting on the outer ridges of my ear. I'm glad I didn't go stick my stereo ear buds into my ears, I may have pushed it back in. So I stuck the tip back into the canal and sprayed some more. Lo and behold, even more big chunks came out! WOW! So, it worked awesomely! I feel like brand new, and I saved a trip to the ear doc. Though I would've rather have a doc with the scope to see the details of my grotesque ear buildup and do a more thorough job, I could not wait till June. This is like having an ear doc come to you for such a task. I only gave it 4 stars for comfort, only because getting your ears cleaned is NEVER COMPLETELY COZY. Especially if they use the vacuum cleaner method to suck the wax out, THAT HURTS LIKE HELL! But with an ability to control the liquid pressure on my own, and a tool to use any time I suffer blockage again, this seems to me to be a very satisfying tool for those times when you can't get a professional job done soon enough. If you need to get your ear cleaned RIGHT NOW, this will work. Just don't squeeze the handle too hard. That's all. Okay, I almost passed on buying this because of the one star reviews that said it didn't work / hurt. It didn't hurt AT ALL, and my hearing is the BEST it's been in MY WHOLE LIFE now that my ears aren't impacted anymore. Here's some tips on how to use it (I read all the reviews and took their advice, it worked!) 1. Use debrox or the ear drops that come in the kit. I had been using debrox 1x a day for 4 days before I purchased this, but it wasn't clearing the clog. Debrox says you can use it every 4 hours, so go for it. I left it in for about 15 - 20 minutes, but I'm not a doctor, so you do what you feel comfortable with. 2. Be patient!! It might take 2 - 3 or even 4 full irrigator bottles to clear the clog! Also, pull the trigger in a steady / consistent way, NOT like you're having a water gun fight and pulling the trigger as fast as you can. You don't need a ton of pressure to clear the clog, and the more high pressure you shoot into your ear, the more likely you will cause yourself pain (lots of 1 star reviews from impatient people trying to blast a clog out with as much psi as possible, and ending up in pain... well DUH! It's an ear drum!! Be gentle!!). You can turn the tip of the bottle to control psi, but I left mine on the lowest setting, but open. It's where it was already set to out of the box, not sure if that's the "norm". 3. Use one part hydrogen peroxide to four parts water in the irrigator bottle. 4. I worked the tip around in a circular pattern inside the ear canal, shooting more at the sides rather than dead center. I figured this would unstick the clog from the canal walls, and it did. Also less chance of causing pressure pain when you shoot the sidewalls instead of dead center. 5. You'll know when you're done, because it breaks like a damn, all of a sudden you go from tiny little pieces and your ear sounds like you're underwater, and then BAM, no more underwater sound in your ear and there's a wax-plug in the sink and probably a bunch of wax debri on the outside of your ear (I was alone, no one to hold the cup part). While I feel the price is high for what this is it did work well to remove stubborn earwax that other products did not touch. Along with this product I purchased an inexpensive otoscope here on Amazon. I looked in my ear and saw two gross piles of wax, one partially covering my eardrum (resulting in dulled hearing in that ear). I mixed a small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide with warm water in this spray bottle device. Then, because I had read in a review here about this product being messy to use, I disrobed and got into the shower to use it to spray the warm liquid into my ear. It is messy (the liquid splashes out of your ear so using it in the shower is recommended), but I used the otoscope afterward and I was happy to find a completely clean ear canal. Read more
