...for getting your monitor off your desk. This is a much simpler arm than Ergotron's fully adjustable version. Once you set the height of the arm by adjusting the collar on the mounting post it is permanently set (unless you readjust the collar). With the height set, your adjustments with the monitor are tilt and rotation, swing and distance from the post; you cannot raise or lower the monitor. There are two ways to mount this arm; by clamping to the edge of your desk or table (for which you'll need a good edge to allow full clamp depth) and by drilling a hole in your desktop and using a metal flange and large wing nut. For both Ergotron arms I own I chose the "through-the-desktop" method and drilled a hole. Of the two mounting choices this is by far the stronger of the two. The drill method also gives you greater freedom in the placement of the arm on your desk. If you go the drilling route, you need to do some homework first to get placement right (you only get one shot at it ...unless you want multiple holes in your desktop) and to make sure you can access under the desktop to attach the hardware and tighten the nut. This is my second Ergotron arm and they are great. The product is first rate and it exudes a level of quality commensurate with its price if not exceeding it. Once you mount the post, the arm assembles very easily; simply follow the instructions. There are multiple screws and adapters for mounting just about any flat screen monitor. Integral in the arm sections are channels to hold the monitor and power cords and there are even a couple of tie wraps included to secure the cables to the post if needed. Once the post is securely mounted this arm is very strong yet very easy to maneuver. And it looks good. But best of all is the ability to free up some "real estate" on your desktop because your monitor now "floats" above it; you have the ability to easily move it out of the way to get that extra space when you really need to spread out. It is also great for showing clients information off the monitor since it allows a good range of swivel. You can rotate the monitor 90 degrees from a landscape/widescreen to a letter/legal page mode ...handy also for the photographer. Overall I highly recommend Ergotron arms for mounting your monitor. This Nf Extend arm is cost effective, high quality and a great way to get your monitor off your desk. Read more

I rarely if ever write product reviews, but after getting my two Ergotron neo-flex extend LCD arms yesterday and easily putting my two 24" screens on them, I couldn't resist coming here to tell everybody about it. It's a sturdy, really easy to use product. The additional cable management feature is great and comes in handy. It grips the desk well and is easy to mount. The monitor back screws work great and don't even need tools to be put in place. Height can be adjusted very easily thanks to the movable ring on the main bar. As someone who develops software for a living and has to stare at computer monitors all day, this is a blessing. I used to either use stacks of printer paper or Targus monitor platforms to prop my screens up, but now I can attach them to the back of the desk and have an absurd amount of free space on my desk. I wish I could give this product more than 5 stars, it really deserves it. Disclaimer: I haven't used it for a long time yet, so I don't know how well it'll hold in the months / years to come. We'll see! Read more

This has smooth motion, and makes it really easy to position the monitor. My monitor weighs 9 lbs, and the tilt motion is perfect. I'm not sure how well it would work with heavier monitors. I love that the pipe is extra long, so you can cut it down to whatever length you need. I simply cut it with a chop saw. My only complaint is the cable channel. I'm glad it has one, but it's too small. I have several cables going to my monitor (power, SDI in/out, DVI, audio), and only 2 cables will fit nicely, or 3 if you force it a little. I've been putting 3 cables inside, so I think that plastic is going to break at some point. Read more

this is the second one I have purchased - needed to add my second monitor to my PC. It is not rated for the size I used it for this time but it works beautifully. This model is you basic version - it swivels and moves the monitor closer or further back but NO UP AND DOWN movement. Look at a different one for that. I have another one so it was exactly what I needed. Ergotron is very well made and easy to assemble. Mine is clamped to the top of a desk and is very stable. Read more

This is a high-quality product. Beefy metal components lend to a substantial feel. There is virtually no flex when the monitor is mounted. Note that there is a great second option for mounting. You can choose to drill a small hole in your desk and tighten up the connection from directly below (as opposed to clamping onto an edge). This was a perfect solution for my IKEA desk. Instructions were very clear. Two thumbs up. Read more

This is a wonderful arm for my monitor, it swings and tilts and twists and does all the things that it should. Setup is very easy and includes instructions which are not really needed. I bought 3 of these and they hold my 21.5" LCD monitors perfectly and I now have significantly more desk space! I highly recommend this stand. It is also quite reasonably priced on Amazon. Read more

I already own a similar arm from Ergotron and decided to add this for a second monitor. I was able to add this arm to the existing base pipe for my other monitor no problem. However, this one does not have the crucial vertical articulation arm that the slightly more expensive model has. If I had to do it over again, I would have paid a little extra for the one with more movement options. Read more

I was looking for a decent stand for my other monitor. This assembles easily, and fits together will very little effort. You can use all or some of the arm pieces, depending on your needs and available space on your desktop. The height is easily adjustable with the enclosed Allen wrench. Read more
