Brown Noelle.. Love Them. they're a bit pointier than I expected, but still super cute~ yes the leather is real, it's soft, flexible and it's quality~ a silent walk too! And, they're ultra light~ such a relief from the $200 boots I returned that (literally) weighed 5lbs. they're fuzzy on the inside, but it's 97° out and my feet are fine~ now for the size.. I wear between a 7-7.5, I ordered the 7.5-8 and they're a bit snug with regular/thin cotton socks. thick socks or shoe inserts are out of the question~ they're comfy enough without inserts, but if you know you'll need inserts, size way up~ love the look~ if they fall apart in a week I'll let you guys know~ 😎👍 Read more

I ordered two pairs of similar boots, one made by Eric Michael and the other by Born. The Born Portia was the cheaper boot and is made in China. I had some issues with the right zipper on the Born boot, and initially they were too tight across the instep. Switching to a lighter pair of socks helped. The sole is textured and non-slip. Very nice boot. I was going to keep the Born until I tried on the Eric Michael Noelle. The Eric Michael boots are made in Portugal. Remember Bob Dylan's song "Boots of Spanish leather"? Well, these are close. Beautiful workmanship, excellent non-slip lug sole, about the same mid-calf height as the Born and fit well right out of the box. No zipper or instep issues. They are also butter-soft; the Born is a slightly stiffer leather, but still nice. It was a toss-up, frankly, but the slight advantages of the Eric Michael won out. The Eric Michael are about $66 more expensive than the Born, by the way. The Born has more criss-cross straps, so if those features please you, by all means go for the less expensive boot. Both boots look well with long or mid-calf skirts. They also look great with leggings. I am not one who tucks their jeans into boots , but you could do that too. I would love to keep these boots, but they run so small. I have large feet (size 11 or 12). I ordered a size 12 to be safe and I can’t even get them on my feet. Note: I ordered a size 12 in a different Eric Michael style boot and they fit fine. Read more

The description indicates genuine leather, however, I'm not 100% convinced. There's no stamp or tag on the boot that says so, nor does the box say genuine leather, and the boot is very smooth, similar to faux leather boots that I've had in the past. My biggest complaint is that the right boot rubs on my pinky toe due to a defect and the left boot rubs on my heel due to weird stitching. Overall the boot is OK - the lining feels nice against my skin. I really like the style, but I wish I had returned them before the window closed because of these issues.
