Without parallel jaws, the fit on thin louvers is poor. A plastic tab interferes with clamp pad.

The mount pivots back and forth and is not well secured on my 2019 Outback. The design seems updated vs the pictures... there is added plastic tab that is higher than the rubber pad, and it is what clamps the louvre, as I show in the mock-up I did in the second photo. A second problem is that the clamp jaws are not parallel, so only the outer tip engages with the louvre. I plan to add additional rubber to clear the stupid plastic tab, and to build it out so that a large area of the pad actually mates with the thin louvres of the vent. If this added work doesn't sound appealing to you, buy something else! Read more
